A new single piece aluminum driveshaft will increase torque delivered to rear axle. Because it takes less to turn the lighter shaft. It also eliminates the original 2 piece that uses a center support bearing that is bound to fail eventually. Thanks, David

If you're doing an S13 auto -> manual swap, can you just use a Shaftmasters driveshaft? Are there parts you would need from a stock S13 manual driveshaft?

yes, just get the approriate manual one.

for you that would be s13 without abs.

unless you're vert has abs? i dont think it was available on them.

What is the rough turnaround time on these? I just placed an order for a NON-ABS S13 (89-94) driveshaft and was curious about how long I could expect it to take.

Thanks to me!

Aaron, I can't wait to see it, let me check out your new shaft before you install it. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA We're so immature, but it's just too easy.

I got a question. I have no idea about them shafts... 1. Aluminum vs. steel? I know weight is a factor, but is it as strong as steel? Other pros? I remember around 3.5 years ago my bro needed a driveshaft for his Z32, and i got it made by a machine shop (1 piece) for around $230. Sorry, i know i should've searched, but lazy right now.

Yes, yes thanks for the heads up. Awesome deal on these. Dan, I decided to reuse my S13 R200 pumpkin as a donor housing when I get the viscous guts. I won't have to worry about the .7~" difference with the driveshaft then (if I get a J30 unit). problem solved!

That's awesome; very handsome looking shaft! Are you planning on polishing it often?

I odered my driveshaft from shaftmasters awhile ago. However, just haven't had a chance to put my car on the lift. Finally, I installed my shaftmasters shaft tonight and I like it. I have a s13 w/o abs... the drive shaft I recievced was alittle shorter, maybe an inch, than the stock 2 piece. The only concern I have is premature wear on the rear transmission seal due to the shorter length.

Otherwise great quality, only one weight welded towards the front and perfect fitment to the differential.

Driving on it... tremndous difference. Aside from installing a nabco clutch master and slave cylinder and an ap one piece stainless line, I have a new reason to love my car. great response... it feels like more power is transfered to the ground.

I highly recommend this driveshaft due to quality and price. I would like to see a different shaft offered for abs or non-abs.
