for me..it would depend on how long it'll be till you have money. It's its a matter of a few weeks to a couple months...I'd just wait. If longer..I'd do it. I just wouldnt want to have to put the KA in just to take it back out in less than 6 months or so...

oh i know what its like to be broke. i cant find a job worth chit around here. i wasnt saying dont get the ka, i was only saying i personly wouldnt. yeah u could get the ka and run on it until u get an sr, but if ur going to do that why dont u just get the ka and build that up for boost little by little and just say screw the sr. you can actually get more low end torque out of the ka if u build it right. but it will cost u more in the long run bcuz its not built for boost from the factory like the sr is. i mean if u can get a ka for that kind of price then have at it. but dont plan on getting the same out of it if u sell it. trust me i dont have anything against ka's, i ran the stock sohc in my 89 coupe for two years and never had a problem. but then my dad wrecked it on me and i sold it to one of my buddies for a field beater and he blew a rod threw the block the same day.

yeah its a hard choice to make but i think i might have a good KA lined up for a real good price. i got a feeling if i dont act soon im going to be left without a running car, everyday that goes by is a gamble because my daily driver honda accord is on its last leg.

well i fell in love with the silvia a long time ago so ive always wanted a coupe with the silvia front end. the paint is strait everywhere except the faded part on the front bumper, i love the burgandy but i really want to paint the car purple. i have a vision in my head of what i want the car to look like, so its just taking the time and collecting the funds to see my dream become reality. the only thing i havent decided on is what my final wheel selection will be. as far as the body goes i want the silvia front end, origin streamline body kit, 20mm front fenders, 30mm rear fenders, smoked tails, carbon fiber hood and carbon fiber trunk. to me that will be nice and clean without taking anything away from the stock bodylines or making the car look like a snow plow.

Let me know if you decide not to get that KA, if it's a DOHC. I'm down in Chucktown and I can't seem to find one anywhere.

Please have the money to put a nice paintjob on it and keep the stock front end. id hate to see it turn into yet another car with a flat black silvia front or something.

I remember that day..lol. Took pictures of everything. Look at some prices for buying KA-T parts. Then look at prices for an SR and availablity. I have nothing against the KA either, but when it came down to dollars - the SR was the best bang for the buck and a good platform to build off of. If you have expendable income and want something different then the KA-T is a touch off the norm. Just my thoughts. The KA has great torque, but you've been on here for awhile and know the ups and downs. I kinda wish I hadn't given away my KA, but I needed the room more at that time than I needed another motor laying around. Let me know if you need a hand. I'm still waiting on the pizza party.

well John im picking up the KA this friday and if the weather is good i hope to have it in and driving it before the weekend is over. if you have the time this weekend and wanna make the drive(weather permitting) i have no issues with buying pizza and beer. i know its a s***ty time to work on the car because of the SR meet but i have to do what i have to do. too bad i cant have a few buddies pull an all nighter and swap the KA friday night and still go down to the meet, ohh well thats life.
