what it is peoples long time.......holy **** this new job is ****in me up bad making me save alot of money....LOL i get paid a **** load of money cause i like work 80 hrs a week and at this rate i should have my 240 and be completed with it by the beggining of march hopefully if not i'll just bring pictures and and drive my maxima.....Hopefully not though....I Raced a 300 zx yesterday acutuallu it was some one i worked with and did not even know it it's burgandy and i was winning until i changed into 3rd and then the ****er packed his **** and walked me like a dog but it is ok cause as soon as i got to work i give him a card and hopefully he will be joining the discussions here pretty soon......LOL

oh, does anybody know how to check yourself and see if a car might have flood damage. anybody know the typical signs or whatever. and does anybody have carfax so i can check a VIN.

flood damage would be mold... most of the time you cant tell though... post in general chat for a carfax

i would post it but im not that worried about it. i forgot to write down the VIN anyways. but i test drove the car a while back and the carpet was out of it and a lot of the panels are like wrinkled and stuff. idk how to explain it. the lady said it had a clean title though. they want a grand more for it than i paid for my car and my car has 50k less miles and is a year newer.

usually there will be mold in the interior and rust on the underbody of the car, easiest way to tell.. they are prolly just trying to rip you off with a lemon.

if it has a clean title, then more than likely its doesn't have flood damage

all i know is what the lady told me, and she didnt seem too smart. i guess ill have to call and get the VIN. i know a few people wanting to buy a 240, one of them being my brother.

she said 3900 financed w/1000 down 75/wk. she said around 3k cash but id get it for less. i told her i paid 3k for mine and its a 93 w/150k mi and in better condition. that one is a 92 w/199k mi. im not looking to buy it but i know quite a few people who are looking for a car.

I don't guess 3k is that bad for a 240 in decent condition. They're so dang hard to find its not even funny. I tried to help Redemption1978 find one a few months before he got his 350z and it was like being on a wild goose chase.

I was driving by a huge junkyard out in Jackson county (GA) where I live and saw a few 240s sitting there. I wonder if that would be worth looking into... Even if there are no titles I might could make a drift car out of one, what do yall think?

btw- speaking of flood damage I have experience... I managed to bury 2 pathfinders up above the headlights in muddy water

I say go look at de cars if nothing else we can get them cheap and have a blast tearing them up!!!! And while your at the junkyard see if they have a few turbo's. I still can't get the idea of putting a turbo on my truck out of my mind...
