My Plans:Swap a new KA in for the time being, keeping the header on the motor, 3in exhaust and then building the current KA. I want to build a NA beast. Including ITB's and everything.

Got rid of my clutch fan today. Although the engine bay still looks like crap with pointless wires running everywhere.

i thought about it more than you think.. but i think i made the right choiceive ridden in a rx7 no the streets with 10kg sprigs on it.. and i liked itso i figured 12/10 would b just fine..

its gonna b a big change for me tho considering my shocks r blown..with even sukkier rears.. so yeah..ive been driving easy for the past couple months so im eager to see how these will ride..ive always been a fan of stiff ride tho..

I need to get coilovers soon. My suspension is way too soft.

My little brother just got a 93 N/A 300zx today. It's pretty sweet. It's an automatic though so we need to do a 5 spd swap soon. Anybody know where I can find a 5 spd transmission? It's really fun to get it all tuned up and catch up on all the maintenance that the previous owner seemed to overlook. We checked the air filters today and they were dirty beyond belief. The undersides were practically pure dirt and dust. They were nissan air filters. That couldn't mean that they've never been replaced could it? They were quite dirty but I don't see how you could go 160k without replacing air filters... Tomorrow we're getting new pads, spark plugs, air filters, fuel filter, and some other things. She'll be purring soon enough. I'll post some pics soon.

Since was an na automatic, I bet it spent most of its life in the care of a female. Probably explains the lack of maintenance. So what color is it? t tops? pics? I hear z32 trannys are expensive, but I don't know where you can get one. Best bet would be to search for whole car part outs.

Trannys can be found at our sponser Toronto Motorsports they have they entire transmission.

It was indeed driven by a female. She said she got it for a valentines day present a few years ago. It's kind of a burgundy color. Not so great in my opinion. It does have T-tops.

I put the new air filters, fuel filter, and spark plugs in today. It's definitely pulling stronger now. The spark plugs were a pretty big pain to do. Had to take a bunch of stuff off to get to them.

Someone called my car a piece of crap compared to the Z today. I was highly offended. At least my brother realizes that my car is far more beastly.

Ten years ago, I might have said that about a 240. But that was before I realized the potential they have. Sad thing is a 240 has oodles more potential than a 300. But I'd still love to have a z32. Good luck with it.

my friend just got a hell of a deal yesturday from what i hear. he bought a pignose hatch for $500 and it runs. im going to go look at it today to se if it was really that great of a deal cause i heard that the interior is trashed and that the exterior isnt that great.

Well guys, I think I've reached the end of my rope with my 240. I just found out today that my U-joints are shot and in order to replace them, I have to procure an entire driveshaft . This is my DD and I honestly can't afford to shell out the bucks for parts and possible labor and still struggle to get back and forth to work. I haven't made up my mind yet, but I'm just tired. I expected to have some repairs factored into my project, but it seems all the stuff that's breaking is costly....... I'm already making a car payment on the car my wife drives so I'm not really able to swing anything extra and I know that I won't get much for my car if I sell it the way it is now.

dude check out the u pick u pull in gaston cause last time i was there they had a couple of 5 speed 240's and i think one automatic so you could get the driveshaft from there. im going to head out there tomorrow and see if they still have them and if they do im going to start taking parts off that i need for the 5 speed conversion. unlesss........HEY PAT is that parts car a 5 speed???? and if so could i buy the parts for a 5 speed convertion off of it????

There isnt much left on it. The transmission and motor are all gone. Only thing left really is the suspension, hood, and interior. He does have a 5speed transmission though he said he'd let go for $175

After my sob story I came to my senses a little and thought about that place. I got my MAF pigtail and headlight trim from them a while back; they did have some decent 240's @ the time. I'll call over there tomorrow to see what their inventory looks like. Hey Pat, would u mind inquiring about a shaft for me on that parts car please, thanks in advance. For that matter, if anyone of u all know where I can get a good used driveshaft from please lmk. I'm getting by right now by driving my mom's TL, but I also have to pay the insurance on it as well as 1/2 the DMV fees on getting a new tag(I'm using the one off my 240 for now..SHHHH) I checked the classifieds earlier but I didn't see anything; I guess if nothing pans out locally I'll put in an official WTB ad, I would just rather not deal with shipping and all that.
