Mine was doing that too. When I upgraded my iPhone 5 to 7.1.1 it stopped. Also fixed some music playlist issues.therealroland wrote:Same here, not too impressed with the nav. Did a 800 mile road trip this weekend, brought my 4 yr old Garmin with me...
Lately experiencing the voice dialing system to correctly interpret and call ou the name of the contact I'm asking it to dial, but then dialing a random number from my address book instead. Happened after I visited the dealer last week to have a replacement driver's side sun visor installed.
It does show that for me. Did you disable the nav screen in the settings, or maybe switch to another screen? I'm also not sure if it will show this if there are active warnings (such as low fuel).yi_dennis wrote:I was referring to the information screen behind the steering wheels. Thanks for checking. I was pretty sure it should show the vertical progress bar on the information display behind the wheel. I will ask the dealer to check it out.Ferrisfan wrote:yi_dennis wrote:Sorry, its kind of hard to explain. I checked mine last night. Once I'm on the straight away, I just get the straight arrow with the flag. Once I get to within ~1000 ft. I get the vertical progress bar.
My Rogue's the same way. No scan button and can't recognize common chain stores.rebound2 wrote:My issue with it is while using voice commands it can't recognize certain common brands like Target, Walmart, The Home Depot, etc. no matter what. I have filed a complaint with my dealer and am hoping it needs a firmware update or something. Another complaint I have is that with the Nav which is the most expensive radio - it doesn't even have a Scan radio channels button - that the cheaper radio without nav - has. Who was asleep at the wheel when they designed this?
You are in Park Ridge I'm guessingddb1419 wrote:I live in a suburb of Chicago and have owned the Rogue for 2 months. The navigation has worked well in the burbs.
A couple of days ago I made by first trip to Chicago to see a Cubs game. I had a couple of issues:
Issue 1: The navigation did not work correctly, on a very complex exit off the expressway. On this one, you had to
go thru 2 lights on the exit lane to turn correctly. Both my wife and I thought it told us to turn right. The
correct thing was to turn left at the second left, off the exit.
Issue 2: On the return trip, I had a choice between I90 and I94. The navigation system wanted me to go on I90
which was backed up and is always busy. It was about 5:00 pm and I90 is always congested, no matter
what the day is. I94 was wide open. I90 would only be about two miles shorter at best. I felt the real
time traffic system should have directed me to I94 (which is what I took anyway).
Do you think the real time traffic systems works well? The exits off of I90 can be confusing. I'm wondering if
I should renew SiriusXM after my trial. I like the real time traffic alert concept.
Thank you.
