DDB1419, I also live in Chicago. Had my 2014 for almost 18 months and have 25K on it. I don't use XMRadio, but wanted to keep traffic/gas/weather features. The XMTraffic is not worth it. It is wrong or lags behind real events, construction is out of date. That being said, the Weather function was bad as well. The only feature that worked pretty well was the Fuel prices (but I can get that on my phone easily). So after having it for 12 months, I cancelled it. Save your money.

I too am so disappointed with Nissan navigation. I have a new 2017 maxima and I've gone back to using waze on my phone. Outdated speeds- they changed 3 years ago in my area. Saving destinations not at all intuitive. No ETA-only minutes remaining-Who wants to do the mental math while driving? No customization of voice or car....welcome to this millennium...

so here's the big question, i've been bitching about the crappy nav system and I hate that the nissan connect app won't let you install your own apps (like waze) who can we really complain to? I tell me dealer and he says there's nothing he can do about it, buy an aftermarket system. if I wanted that, I never would have gone with a factory installed system...

:wtf2:

I agree Lou from ny - i have sent feedback to [email protected] , filled out about 10 surveys, talked to my sales rep, i never receive any response. pretty frustrating.

New member - looking for some help. 2011 Rogue SL AWD with factory nav system. For the past year Nav system has worked intermittently -- doesn't appear to be getting the GPS satellite signal consistently. Display shows the vehicle in the broad general area (ie within 25 miles of actual location) but not accurately located. Occasionally though - particularly on a long trip - the system will kick in and show the right location, but later it will conk out and display the wrong location. When not working properly the "display location" field doesn't display any lat/long location data. Makes me wonder if the antenna connection is faulty/intermittent. Have booked a dealer appt but wondering if there is any advice out there before I turn them loose?

Finally had some time to play with the Navigation on my new 2018 Rogue. This is my first car with built in navigation. Wow! What a disappointment! It's takes the most indirect route to a destination. I even changed the settings to fastest route or shortest route and still doesn't know the best way to get there.

Guess I'll keep using google maps on my phone.

I have been with Honda navigation systems for a very long time, and this Nissan built-in navigation is a real joke. Instead of getting me to point B in a safe and quick manner, the dang system is making me to go in circles. Luckily, I am one of those people who can remember roads and whatnot, so I usually check Google maps on my laptop before I head out (I dont use my phone while I drive). And there are many times where this system even froze on me when I have to go to downtown and other areas that I am very unfamiliar with. Plus, give the driver (or passenger) the control to select destinations while the car is in motion. Never happened to me before with Honda. Nissan is such a disappointment.... Great cars, but horrible technology and service after buying the vehicle. I really can't wait to trade this in for another Honda or Acura.
