I found this site (http://www.navigationbypass.com/product ... ti_07g.php) while looking for some alternatives for my car and was wondering if anyone had tried it. I have a 2009 G37x and I hate that the Navi gets locked out on top of which I want to be able to play music videos from my ipod on to the navi and this seems to solve both issues. Anyone actually try it yet? I thought I saw someone who mentioned that it slows down the processing of the Navi and some other "minor" issue that I can't remember but I wanted to know if anyone had tried this or if everyone was going with the kp technologies module?

I am pretty sure that one just allows you to do all the locked Navi stuff but doesn't open the screen up for when the car moves. Any ideas or opinions would be great. The car came with the line in cable ready and i already got the ipod adapter for that so I can play movies/music videos directly from that but I just want to make sure I am not going to totally mess up my Navi.

Lemme know...

I've installed the KPtech bypass module and it works perfectly. The first link you have does not allow you to make changes to the audio or NAV while moving...it's only for watching video while moving.

The KPtech does exactly that, allow you to access the grayed out sections of the NAV and audio. I did a write up on the module and have a section in there on what you need to do to watch video while moving.
