I keep tossing a few colors around in my head. Lately I've been sticking to the off white that comes on the 300M and other dodge products. There are others out there that I like as well, so we will see. I'd like to see the car in person sometime, check it out. Maybe Dan and I could swing by, eh Dan?

Ya, i am planning on working on the motor more this weekend. Early saturday. I want to clean all the pistons, install the new piston rings and install the valve springs, and i should be happy for now. I want to get it back together asap, but i have to wait for the rod and main bearings as well as the front and rear main seal to get here.... lame.

Ya, the two of you can def stop by sometime, but, not this weekend. ha. Im hoping to finish all that by like 10:30 or 11 am, then i have to head down to connecticut to pick up another sr! not for me, to install in a friends car.

Nice shop, very roomy. That shell looks clean, you got a good deal on it. I would it kept the bumper and trash the rear valences... Project is looking good.

With the way I hacked molded those rear valances on it was probably easier to leave them be.

Yeah, I'd love to stop by and check it out at some point, let us know when a good time is!

ya, the bumper was def a no go. Way too rice and broken. And the rear valences..... well those would have been too much work to take off. I am planning on buying a full kit in feb that will replace them as well as the bumper. That was always the plan so i decided not to waste my time. Plus i had no idea what was behind them. Nor did i want to find out based on the rust repair that i have done.

Yeah, the rust was what made me sell in the first place, the frame kinda scared me. Being one who is scared by most body work and repair of that sort you'll understand why I spent 2k just to get a clean S13 chassis. Any thoughts one what kind of kit you want for it?

Well the wheels along with the body kit all depend on whether or not a get a different job. Which will hopefully happen asap. So, ideally i would like to get the BN Sports Type 4, which you might recongnize happens to be Fukuda's kit..mmm im just gonna take a moment to envy his car...450whp sr.....ok so ya, thats the kit i want, i just need the funds. As for wheels i havent decided yet. Ideally i want 18's. However, i basically have an unlimited supply of low-pro 17's (falkens, pirelli's, BFG, and michellines). So i cant really justify buying 18's when i wouldnt have to pay a dime for any 17" tires. So id like to find some 17x9 F 17x10.5 R. Im still tossing around some wheels. I cant decide if i want chrome, or if i want black, or white, or some other color. We shall see. Feel free to drop some idea's off. Im hoping as far as HP numbers to hit 400 at the wheeland mayyyyybe like 430ish. I dont really see why i wouldnt with the cams, turbo, fuel system, engine internals, and power fc d jetro.

Man Dousan's car is so ill^ Love his new rear wheels, maybe he'll find matching fronts at some point. Nothing wrong with 17's especially if you can get good tires for cheap! I'd say 17X9.5 f and 10.5r with a +15 all around would be nice with a little camber and a roll maybe slight pull too depending on tire size, just my two cents. For my own car I want a pair of 18X10's front and 18X12's prefferably rear... yeah I know lots of work needed to fit the front. Your power goal I would agree on, should be easily reached, that'll be a heck of a good time!

Sorry it took so long for an update. Between Work, school, my gf's birthday, our anniversary, valentines day, and doing an SR install, unfortunately my motor has taken a backseat. Anyway, i started out by scrubbing, then pressure washing my block and getting it all nice and clean. Then i carefully scraped off all the head gasket material and cleaned the head surface as well as i could. It was at this point that i went to remove all the oil jets. And magically broke one without even touching it. No joke. SO! if you have one please let me know so i can buy it from you. lol. Anyway, here is my cylinder walls. They were actually in very good shape. You can still see the crosshatch in each cylinder. However, i had an identical small wear spot on every cylinder in the same place which is shown.Anyway, enough of that. I then used my deglazer and re-cross hatched each cylinder and here are the results. So got all my rod and main bearings in the other day, as well as the front and rear main seals. so i was planning on installing everything this weekend. But, i guess i have to find a oil jet before i can do that one. So i started working on the head. I removed all the valve springs etc. and cleaned each valve. And also lapped all of the valves.http://s55.photobucket.com/alb...4.jpgLastly, i havent taken the pictures yet, but i have replaced all the valve springs w/ the BC Titanium ones which are night and day beefier than stock. So next update will be....as soon as i find an oil jet.....so if you have one let me know!!!

Not to jack the thread or jump back too much, but where did you pick up the SR in CT? Been looking for one myself, and would love a local-ish reputable engine importer/distributor...

Ha...ya...about the motor in CT....well a customer of mine, wanted me to pick it up for him, its not for me. He traded his 91 hatch for sr to some kid in a wicked sketchy area...Sorry, no local motors that i know of.

quick threadjack (GOD I hate people who do that...)/

I had already hit up Jeff @ CIP in January, they aren't importing/distributing SR's anymore - he said that they "can not get the motor." Any other local places? New England or Tri-state area?

/end threadjack

By the way, love the build, those rear wheels are tight , keep it up!

Thanks for the all the compliments and advice guys. As far as finding an SR...best idea for semi local would be to take a ride up to canada...its only a 3.5 hour ride for me. Too bad too, because i passed one up in mass for $350 a few months back. (obv w/o a transmission and needing some work)

So basically i finally got the oil squirter in the mail. I went to frsport and thought i had bought a full bearing set.....nope...just but 1 bearing...I wasnt to happy bout that specially since i paid through the nose to get it shipped express. So much for that...plus its not worth returning. So if anyone needs one grade 2 rod bearing and onegrade 2 main bearing ill hook you up with a sweet deal. So i went ahead and ordered a set of the Cosworth racing rod and main bearings for the motor....I called and made sure it was a full set.

It feels so weird having my car all ripped apart. I went and sold my sparco seat today. And i think im gonna pick up this signal auto seat. Anyone heard anything about it?I mainly just wanted something more agressive. I was going to pick up the Bride Zeta 3 seat, but the price difference is basically a no brainer. Anyway, talk to you soon hopefully. I am looking for a new DD cuz im sick of driving around a POS in the winter, and not having AC in the summer. So it might be a while before i finish the 13 because of $$$$$$$$ <-- the necessary evil.
