Mmmm, green looks good! I totally forgot about the whole line-engine trade thing there until I looked in this thread. If you still need it or whatever let me know. We've been busy hibernating and building goofy things up here.

Wow, this car is amazing! I'm a New Hampshire local and had no idea guys were building 240sx like this here. Well done, and looking forward to seeing the progress. Live free or die baby!

Hey another NH guy! Welcome! Check out the northeast regional section of the forum. I'm in Epsom, NH just outside Concord, we're always getting together and talking cars in the area. We meaning the local Nissan guys.

Hydro e-brake? I've been wanting one lately. That and line lockers just for the heck of it.

WOOHOO! Got some goodies coming in the mail this week.

-Black Bride Zeta 2 bucket seat

-Schroth SFI 16.5 Hybrid 3 6-pt harness http://www.hmsmotorsport.com/s...ybrid

And i havent even gotten my tax return!

Oh, by the way, anyone who has followed this and knows the problems i was having with the oil squirters. Well anyway all is solved now. Apparently somehow the rods were originally installed opposite, so when i reinstalled them according to the FSM, i assumed that the pistons were facing the right direction because i never separated them. Anyway...they were not.

wow. i love reading these build threads. they inspire me

anyways, to catch up: great deal for only $150. great to see another 240 not going to the junkyard

looking great so far! i've seen lots of people who do paint themselves, and they make it look far too easy.

So this build has certainly taken a lot longer than expect. Its pretty mind boggling to think that this thing has been apart for a year and a half. Finding time to work on it has also been quite difficult. All the free time that the girl doesn't claim is unfortunately spent doing projects on the house or working on someone elses car. I have made a pretty good dent lately...here it is:

The harness strip/relocation is about 75% done. Ill post up pics when its complete.

Windshield out

I had about 20 feet left of DOM pipe that i wanted to use, and i also wasnt satisfied with the weld penetration along the top of the main hoop/top door bars. With the roof on the car it was simply impossible to get a nice weld all the way around. Other problem was that i didnt want to cut the floor and drop it down. Solution: get her topless

Pics show the new (unpainted) bars welded, with none of the welds ground down. This Friday the joints will be ground down and fresh paint for the cage, still the same takata green tho.

Anyway thats all until this weekend. Please ignore the extremely messy shop...too many house projects going on and everything gets tossed right in there.Happy 4th!
