Hello All,
Im working on my little sisters 98 Nissan Altima, and have had the hardest time with an oil leak at the oil pan gasket. We wanted to replace the pan since the previous owner banged it up from what looks like an off-road adventure...but we cannot identify the engine. The pan does not look like anything for that year or model car. At least not here in the US. Can anyone help?
What does the oil pan for the u13 Bluebird look like? From what i see under the car, its a very small (lower pan)..but it isnt square...almost square, with one side slightly shorter than the other...trapazoid?

Take it to nissan and have them look for the pan off of the engine numbers that'll tell you if its the rite year engine anyway.

Assuming you are in the US, it looks like someone replaced the engine with a JDM KA24DE (japanese version) like you said from a Bluebird. The dead giveaway is the bulged part of the valve cover with the fins.

Your engine should have an oil pan like this:

In either case, they use silicone RTV to seal the pan to the block (or upper oil pan in your case) so you don't need to find the proper gasket. I would just take off the oil pan, bang out the dents as best you can, clean the inside very well and the mating surface, and reinstall with some ultra grey or copper RTV. Bolts should be torqued to about 6-7 ft-lbs. Are you sure that's where the leak is coming from?
