As far as the company is concerned, they no longer have a rate adequate for the risk you present. Insurance companies are businesses, and they won't write that policy if they think there's a good chance they'll lose their shirts on it.
Different companies are in the market for different things, so you'll certainly find a company who will write a policy for you. You *may* have to go with a non-standard carrier. The market is *very* tough right now.

I know the wreck was my screw up and I learned a good lesson from it (expensive lesson too, they teach you the best) I think I'll be able to find a standard carrier that will pick me up though, and the tickets are almost off my record, they happened when I was 16...since then I've defensive driving'd/deferred subsequent tickets. I also drop a fender bender so it'll all be ok. Wow BP2000...you are REALLY lucky, it looks like you had a hell of a roll there, I'm glad we didn't loose a NICO member to it!

IF the car still runs i say it would be worth it to buy back just for motor, motor parts, and salvagable exterior parts, all the interior tid bits etc. It might take a while but generally people make more money off of parting off cars than they would from the insurance company just paying them. At least this would allow you to keep hard to find parts for your next 240 (at least i hope your concidering buying another 240, this was in no way your fault)
