so i got really bored with the played out black rims. i think white on black looks great on civic and subies but not on my car for some reason. i hated how you couldnt actually see the rim from far away and at night time. so i decided to paint them white using dupli color white rim paint. we'll see how it holds up. these rims dont see any salt or snow so they should be fine. i painted the center caps white also. but im missing 2 as you can see in the picture the back doesnt have one. and then i painted my lugs black. on to the pics. the white looks awesome going down the streetshould look really cool when its lowered. my wheel gap makes me cringe. will def be lowered on coils or at least springs by march when i get my license

at 15 its freakn hard to save up $800. im thinking about maybe trying at megan lowering springs since they go 2 inches. i havent seen any others that go that low. im just worried about quality. it seems like the more expensive they are the less they go lower. and ill keep this updated on how they hold up
S13k wrote:i love white cars with white wheels, can't you tell
haha looks good. white rims are growing on me more and more
TurboSauce wrote:why not black on black with high beams?
im confused. i dont know what high beams have to do with it but i hate black on black. it makes me think of 300's and chargers with 22's. plus thats played out. when do you see white on white? hardly ever

thats cool. just wondering if you had any on your computer. i have the kind where the key goes inside. its really nice because it stays away from my rim and the outside of the lugs. thats why i could even paint mine to begin with.

Get some contrast on that car asap. It needs something to offset the refrigerator white.

And lower as usual. I like your interior though. Wanna trade wheels? I got a Nardi Classic. And where did you get that shift knob?

P45R's are hot. Never been a fan of white wheels though, but the paint turned out good though.

I'd highly recommend you not go with the lowering springs. 2 inch drop on S13's and hatches is a joke. I know, I had eibach springs before. Better than stock but no where near to my liking.

The world loves white 240s with gold wheels. They also love white 240s with green wheels. They also love white 240s with highlighter yellow wheels.

i was thinking about spraying them steel blue with a gun. but it would have been over $100 for paint. which i didnt feel like paying. this was cheap enough if it doesnt hold up its just my time spent

thanks guys. ive been saving since i was like 10 mowing lawns, working with my dad on saturdays and many sidejobs around my grandpas shopping strip and house so it all accumulates. my mom always made me save half and im very grateful. ive always had a passion for cars. never 240's though. hell i didnt even really know why they were so special until i was almost 15. nfs underground makes the s13 look disgusting. then one day i actually saw one and that it looked pretty neat.

If it is the actual Duplicolor wheel paint, and you did good prep work, the paint will hold up very well. I have a set of old OZ Monte Carlos that I sprayed with little more than a scotch brite pad scuffing and the finish has held up quite well. The only chips that are visible are from the tire mounting machine, and are very easily touched up.

However I have found that completely stripping the production finish and using rattle can primer does not work out as durable. That being said, your wheels look good. And in my opinion there are few things that look as good as a clean white car. Thumbs up.
