Those pics look good. You have a lot of work ahead of you on those runners. I guess you will be running a dry sump, based on those pics.

I hope the guys on the Z forum don't mind me joining with my Q45.

Detail on mount - slightly over-engineered. Solid mounted obviously.

Testing space for intakes.Throttle bodies roughtly positioned and bend used to test space under bonnet. Idea is to have 8 runners with the 4 from each side crossing to an air box above the opposite rocker cover. Only had 90deg bends handy but drawn the idea on the 2nd pic.

Might as well just leave it. Saves me having to re-post my 'Artistic Impression' of an intake system!

ITB's, the cams are probably too much to get a good idle with any sort of plenum. If you look in the pics there is a set of TB's lined up on the head on one side, they're modified susuki hayabusa ones.Yes, going dry sump. Have a pace gear pump made ready to fit.

NA, I hate turbo engines and their terrible power delivery.Would have just stuck to the VG30DETT if I'd wanted turbos. This should be much better.

Mine are the wilder ones. The milder are from memory about 254 deg duration @ 50 thou.No point putting the wilder ones on a stock engine really as I don't think it'll rev high enough to get the most out of them.

The engine in the pics is actually Leigh (fridayuk)'s engine. Using it as test fit for now. Mine is still in build, waiting on crank pulleys which got lost in the post.

Is the dry sump a custom job? Or are these available off the shelf in the US??

Custom job, but I will be able to supply the sump and pump if you want.Drive would be different on the Q45 as I only run the alternator and sump pump off the crank.

Pretty common practice in the UK. Packaging is a bit of a pain though.US always seem to prefer manifolds but don't know if thats because most SBC etc still seem to run carbs for some bizarre reason

Similar idea on TVR AJP8:

you mean TPI , carburaters werent sold on road going vehicles after 1993 in the USA. Although you can do a carburater conversion to any SBC or SBF by replaceing a part or two.

I know, but seems lots of aftermarket engines still come with them.
