I tried my brother's regular one... doesn't fit worth a damn, buttt you could put it in the back seat on the floor or in the trunk or something. Meh... *waits to get some free time to hook her up* lol..chattowncoupe wrote:WOW!!! does it really? you really got me thinkin bout doin that now... i have a ps3 but not a slim. ill see if the regular one fits and if not that might be my next thing. thats awesome
Powering a regular PS3 is going to be an issue in itself. What wattage inverter do you have? I'm going to try with one I have tonight, cant remember the power output on it though.chattowncoupe wrote:yes im aware...i had the gps before i bought the d3 and so i kept it. the ipod cord thing has already been brought up . actually every thing you just wrote has already been talked about. just read up yander ^^^^^^
and yeah i just found out that the reg ps3 wont fit... and i did wire all the cords into the back driverside floor board and then when i went to turn the ps3 on and test it out i found out my inverter is broken so that idea was a major fail.

Like you really need another device to be hanging off your windshield...chattowncoupe wrote:how much are you trying to sell it for
and no i have no problem seeing out the windshield.
and havnt had a wreck the last 7 years i been driving so im pretty confident ill be ok.
and i have a 300 watt inverter for the ps3 but when i plugged it in it would just start pulsing on and off.
fair enough, if functionality is what ur going for and it works for you, that's fine... but you posted this visual atrocity online I'm guessing expecting feedback, and I can tell you that not only is having that many devices to try and look at while talking on a CB/PA not safe, but this is most likely the type of feedback ur going to get...chattowncoupe wrote:maybe im confused but if yer referring to the viper that wouldnt be hanging from my windshield since its a security/remote start system.
and doc im fine with your brutal honesty. i mean we dont have the same taste (i realize when i see your rims) but i have reasons for everything being where it is and since im in my car about 18 hours a week i like having access to these things while driving. blending in would be more practical if i were trying to show my car and make it look good but im just worried about not taking my eyes off the road while using my accessories so that i wont have a wreck and anyone of those things wont go str8 into my forehead.
that's not coming from me...Beak wrote:ive never seen such a rediculous sight ever
Well that doesn't work when you have a passenger in the front seat that wants to play a game on a long road trip or watch a movie.... *plans on getting headrest monitors*... :Pchattowncoupe wrote:thats awesome... i got mine working last night as well. since i had went thru the trouble of wiring it all i was determined to get it to work...turns out the best option for me was to run the power cable to an extension cord that is plugged in in my house. no lines and no excess noise. works great
Damn interwebz and it's lack of emotion and meaning.. lol sorry lolchattowncoupe wrote:yeah that was a joke... im not gonna keep a ps3 in my car and my passengers have plenty to entertain them. and i found playing a ps3 on a 7in screen is not very easy.

PS3 Slim in the car: What is needed?:
1. PS3 Slim.2. A 400W or higher power inverter (I have a 600W one and it only ran me 50 bucks on sale at Canadian Tire.
Now, it does work perfectly fine, I was playing some games etc. but there is something wrong, either it's the inverter that has a lot of electrical noise or it's picking up noise form somewhere else... I'm assuming it's the inverter though...
I know the pic above kinda sucks but do you see the lines going across the screen? It's electrical noise for sure. Audio is crackly as well.
Does anyone know of a good inverter that does not cause this? My battery is relocated to the trunk and the inverter is connected directly to the battery. I have extra grounds as well.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks .
Edit: You will need a TRUE SINE WAVE power inverter. This will eliminate distortions in audio and video. Here's the problem, they cost more...
If anyone can find a 400W to 600W True Sine Wave inverter this would be great.
Thanks!
