Thee 240sx Owner wow didn't expect to get *****ed at for a fact.Since when is 155hp and 160 tq not slow...... and since when is 205hp and 203 tq fast. I NEVER SAID GET AN SR did i no i dont think that i did. If you read my other post i rave about the ka and its potential but in stock form SUCKS and that my friend is a fact. The sr in stock form isnt much better. So please dont assume any thing about people on this board. Oh ya i didnt read any further down so if you explained what you said in further detail my apologies.

Anand, don't you have an SR anyways?

edit: Morph: have you managed to push your car to where you're using all 155hp. Its not fast, but it is pretty damn quick.

Yea i do i dont like turboing an engine that wasnt designed for it b/c of things that can go wrong. And i had the money for the swap and i couldnt afford to have my car down for god knows how long with getting my engine rebuilt b/c i had 120+k on it maybe more b/c odometer was broken.

Im not saying its not quick it is and its a blast to drive but 16 seconds isn't very fast.

<---15.5.. but my 60ft is low cuz of the stock VLSD which is why i got a good time but aside from that i have no bolt ons..... except exhaust.. and all restrictions taken off the motor... advanced timing and a stage 2 clutch... with new mounts... 15.5 i think is damn good for a stock motor with minimal mods..

yes, I do have an SR, BUT that does not mean I have no love for KA.

for what I wanted... I figured what I needed to do and how much $$ and time I had to put into the KA and figured out FOR ME that SR is the better rout with less $$ at the end.. yes, it is more in at first but for my goal, it would be less than KA...

I saw eric clapton play in person, does that make me an expert on guitar playing?

I dont need your acceptance to feel proud of something I built with my own two hands. The only difference between you and me is that I dont care what other people put in their engine bay. You're just making yourself and KAT community look bad by typing that kind of nonsense.

marno! never noticed u were on NICO...i'm the primered S14 from burke lake that is now wrecked :(

anyways. i got an sr20 and threw away my KA like the piece of scrap metal it is! i like the sr20 because unlike my KA motor, it came from teh factory turboed and i didnt feel like rebuilding to get 230whp (which is all i wanted at the time)

so for me...155hp<205hp box stock

plus if you bolt on an IC, boost controller and a couple exhaust mods to a ka24DE (i stress the lack of a T) will you get 230whp? no...because you dont have the T...:) i still have much love for the turbo KA boys..i like the way the sr20 fits in the engine bay overall anyhow...looks prettier :pface
