I was going for a stealth installation. Everything is hidden except the aftermarket HU. See signature for components. The rear speakers are stock and I added an old Phosgate amp to them to give the backseat passengers something to overcome the subwoofer right behind them. The subwoofer wall was an idea that I had that actually worked out pretty well. Just wanted to share this with yall.

Love the ipod integration (hidden in my arm rest console). Nothing like having 3000 songs at your fingertips. The extra storage beneath my HU was a real bonus too. Big car but a little short on storage compartments up front.

My sub wall. Subwoofer faces rear of car and reflects off the wall. Used a small (1.25cf with polyfill) sub box and hooked it over the lip of the trunk port with an angle bracket.

The sub box viewed with back seats down.

The other side of my sub wall. The 2 alpine amps are mounted to the wall. One is bridged on my front comps, the other on my R12 sub. Wiring could be neater, but none of it is visible anyway!

My max. Sounds so sweet on the inside, looks pretty tight on the outside.

3 pieces of MDF. A square one is mounted with standoffs to the face of the sub box. The other two are shaped to fit over the wheel wells (which don't match each other btw). Took me a few tries to get them to match. I painted the inside of the MDF panel black where I mounted the amps. I carpeted the back and around the edges. The 3 pieces are screwed together from the cabin side with some flat brackets.

I put a piece of electrical tape over the lock switch on the back of the seat because if they were to get locked I would have to destroy it to get it out. I had a seat lock on me one time it took me a while to figure out what was wrong.

I have about 12 hours in it. I know it's longer than it should have taken, but I don't do these things for a living, and I don't have the ideal tools.

Thanks for asking!

how does the sub sound? not much space for it to push the air around with the wall in front of it.

It will play a lot louder than my front comps can keep up with and I have the comps supplied with 200W x 2. I did some experimenting with the sub and it sounded better pointing toward the trunk. I am positive it sounds louder and cleaner rear firing against the wall than it would firing toward the seats. The wall also cuts down on the trunk rattles you would hear from the outside. As far as I can tell, there is no downside to the wall.

The rear deck is a rattle trap. I just posted to Droc about it yesterday.

There's also this info:http://www.innerbean.com/house....html

DrocI used to show my stuff off but let me know how much you like showing it off when it gets stolen. I show it off to people I trust. Hate that it has come to that, but I'm also 34 and married. I do it for sound quality and because I like it loud. I'm not trying to impress chics and get laid. Although that would be nice...
