dude if you want the body kit get the kit don't let anyone else rain on your parade. NICO if full of rice nazis. (Notice however that lots of them want that bee revlimiter/ flame thrower thing:D)

My limited experence with motor swaps says take it slow and have a big hammer. That was a honda swap tho so it might not apply.

I have heard that I have to use the KA fuse box and splice into the SR harness , and I have heard that I have to use The SR fuse box and Splice into th KA harness now Im so damn confused on what to do , Some one strighten me out .

well the only splicing you have to do is by the battery tray and the harness that comes from the ecu to the dash and heavy throttle has a diagram you can print out so it isnt that hard you may have to extend a few wire but you wontknow till you get the harness in tak it slow no short cuts make shue you tourqe everything. Peace

Oh yeah, replace the water pump before you put it in. I you are going to road race and/ or live in a hot area, you might want to consider a Nismo thermostat which you would want to do at that time too. Overheating not good.

Ok , The motor/trans/harness are out , The Clip is done , I have a 3 inch mandrel bent downpipe ( sweet ) and the motor looks good , But the wiring ( like 3 seperate harnesses and the fuse box ) looks really complicated , Well im sure i will figure it out , I will start pulling the KA motor/trans/harness tonight , 1. What do i need to keep from the KA harness2. If i use the S14 cluster do i need to switch th harness.

Keep both the top and bottom parts of the harness. You will end up using both parts later.

You've probably already seen my other thread, but remove the whole bumper support when installing FMIC. Oh and BTW: even though I said not to get them, the prices you said you found for C West are really pretty good. Nevertheless you should have other priorities at this point.

not to try and jack the thread but this was hit on somewhat earlier . how are the brakes on a s14? i'm having an sr put in a 96 in the next week or two . i'll have around 320-340rwhp on the motor how important would it be to upgrade supspension and brakes and how long would i be ok without upgrades 2-3 weeks? 2-3months?

Your question is impossible to give a general answer to. The s14 brakes (I assume you mean stock USDM s14 brakes) work great. On a stock USDM s14. But common sense should tell you they aren't going to fare very well with 340whp. :thinker I mean 120whp -> 340whp and you're even considering keeping stock brakes? Honestly, I don't know if you ought to have 340whp under your hood if you don't know whether to upgrade your suspension and brakes. If you really have 340 whp, then YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO UPGRADE BOTH YOUR BRAKE AND SUSPENSION ASAP. Your question about how long you can be "ok" without them is also vague and without basis. What are you using the car for? Daily Driving? Show? Weekends at the Drag Strip? Road Racing? Drifting? With the exception of show, I hope you don't intend on keeping the stock brakes and suspension more than a day longer than possible. :rolleyes

Well Im not worried about my brakes , or suspension , Tien Coilovers and 300zx brakes should do the trick. Now As for this wiring , Were should i start < i figure put the S14 fuse box in place and go from there, Then the ECU and all the other good stuff , Then the hoses and lines and last motor and trans , If theres anyone in Florida that can come here and help me out we have a full shop , You can use the lifts and tools for what you might need as well as help from our guys.

i dont' plan on doing any hard driving until i have them upgraded , but i spoke w/ adam at afterdark who is doing my work and he said the Z32 conversion isn't neccessary all i would need is aftermarket pads and rotors , and i planed on upgrading supsension asap just dont' have the $ as of right now , had all the motor work done first b/c i don't have any shops near here really familiar w/ the sr otherwise would have built the car to take the power before but circumstances didn't allow that and the car will be a daily driver

oh well good. some nice rotors and pads will help, but not the same as bigger diameter brakes with more pistons. it will probably suffice for what you may need though. suspension, you can drive around fine the way it is, but at high speed turns it will be a bit unstable. the new power and braking will stress the suspension and cause it to wear a bit fastertoo, so don't put that off for too long. plus you want to be able to take advantage of all of your power, suspension is key. out of curiosity, what will you be running?
