Ouch that coolant elbow and ecu are hurt! Man that sucks sorry to see that.

I was so relieved when I got my S14 SR from JHot it was perfect, and came with a ton of extra stuff.

Have you contacted JRE? I was about to buy a motorset from these guys. They sent pictures and compression results too. I decided to get a motorset locally because I got a good deal on one and I was able to confirm in person that the motor was in good shape.

Nope I havent yet but i will. Things i found - the speed sensor wire is not connected, I have an skinny O2 sensor and is suppose to be a blacktop but from what i read skinny O2's are redtops(could be wrong), Throttle cable bracket bent, missing nuts for water pump pulley, 1 bolt missing from thermo housing, powersteering pump broken were bolt is inserted, missing oil filter plate(shown in 1st post of pix), missing bolts on coilpacks, Not sure if thats the right maf, Maf connector on harness seems to be missing, might be that black wire that im holding up in the pix i post up later and oil dip stick handle broken off. good news is that no rust under the valve cover. I am happy that i finally got my sr after 4yrs of having my car. But I guess from all that i found, could be worse.

more pix coming soon

Glad you got your engine in mang...now comes the fun part! I got those coilpack bolts and my old dipstick, you can have them if you want them. Let us know what else you find. P.S. your internals look alot cleaner than mine did, apparently someone wasn't to fond of oil changes.

I can't tell what kind of MAF that is because you didn't take a picture of the plug side. If it's a 3 wire connector it's an SR MAF. If it's 4 wire, it's a DOHC KA MAF

I'm fairly certain that's a MAF from a DOHC KA. I'll double check with my SR guru buddy.

I finally took the turbo off the manifold and so I decided to clean it up alittle bit. After seeing positronone us it, I picked up a bottle of Mean Green! The turbine wheel. it has slight play in it.Old gaskets.....gonna be ordering new ones this weekGot a upper water neck and sr maf off ebayNew water pump from Phase2Ok now this is where things got interesting. so my ecu wasnt looking its best when I got it. so today i picked up looking at it and I notice this little stickerSo im like ok, im thinking mines cause the lettering they use. So I opened it up and sure enough....Now only if I knew what was modified on it

Hey (240sxHitman) would you still recomend JRE, i'm only 2 weeks away from ordering my engine, and I was going to use them untill this thread started. Have you had any trouble with them service wise, and how long did it take to get your motorset in?

Obviously not, they missed hella parts, tons of parts were broken. Try nagasaki jdm motors, or neo-techimports.com, ive got motor from both of them, complete, no issues, with really good pricing.

Honestly, I probably wouldnt again if i had to do it over again. Id probably would go with Jhot or Heavythrottle. I guess i got caught up with the good prices, but time will tell if i really made a bad choice when I get the motor in and try to start it. I emailed then once after(no response) but i just went to ebay and got some parts that where either missing or broken. I really dont feel like going back and fourth to only wait X amount of time for a part that could be wrong or messed up.
