LOL I've read all the DOT, NHSTA, EPA, RI, and all the other gov't bs. Comes down to green-backs and how much you have and who you know to grease up them green-backs.

Another missinformed soul spouting off when said person doesn't seem to understand...

Read on.

We never say, "You can't import a Skyline to the U.S."We say, "It can't be made federally legal."

Although, now, there is one company that can do it.

We know you can import them, register them with the certian states, and drive it around and probably not have any issues, yes, we know. We also know that there are some RI's that sy they can make them legal, when we here at NICO know that only one company has the ability to complete the final leg of legalization. We tell everyone that it can't be done legally, that's all.

We won't send people to shady people selling or importing grey-market cars for the simple fact, word of mouth can help or kill a website, company or person. We protect ourselves for these reasons.

The CEO of NICO has even said, and I quote, "Hell, for the right price, I'd own a grey-market R32 in a heartbeat."

So, please be sure you understand what we here at NICO are trying to accomplish. Also, please be sure to read everything instead of just skimming through posts, because all the information has been discussed over and over again.

Nah man I wasn't trying to start anything. Just you make it sound like all I need to do is to find an RI and a car (company) in Japan. Give them my money, ship it over here. RI does his thing and I drive away. Without the 30K+ mods to make it legal. Sorry I honestly didn't think Customs would even release it until it meets full compliance. If its that easy then heck I'll be ordering one soon! LOL And not pay for the over priced ones on autotrader, mautofied and modifedcartrader.

At this point, including all of the fees and "grease money" to get the damn thing over here, I would say that the R34 costs more than that Maserati.

The car is great and all, but at this price I would rather commit sacrilege and roll in the Maserati...

Talk to some people, make some friends, and it's easy to find a gray market R34 for 1/4 the cost of a Maserati. If you think anyone pays more than $45,000 for a gray market car then you should buy my car for $50,000

Sure gray market dealers want more than that but no one wants to or is going to pay that much for a gray market car. Just throwin that out there.
