^^Awesome!! I liked star trek. The original series, just like the original Bond movies starring Sean Connery, are best.

Call your car what you want! mine says 180sx and the lady at the smog center reads that and says "there's no such thing as a 180sx" so I don't disillusion her. It's a 240sx even if the engine displacement is 1998cc.

the supports are shaped a bit different, but all the holes line up exactly the same. i didn't have to modify anything at all. other than i had to sand off the double sided sticky **** that nissan used to hold the spoiler in place on the assembly line. that stuff just wouldn't come up any other way.

(my car is a 95 240sx SE and came with the stock spoiler)

one other difference between the stock spoiler and the type x spoiler is that the stock one has studs that you put nuts on, the type x takes bolts. (makes it sorta interesting to install but its not difficult) i also made my own gaskets out of 1/8th neoprene. (cost about 3 dollars per yard)

Dig the Crown Royal baggie!

I keep one handy for the summer so the aluminum billet knob doesn't fry my hand.

Not to be a copycat man but you have to tell me where you got that front bumper from?? That is pretty much the only aftermarket bumper I like for the zenki's!! Pretty please!

another take on this kit is here, but i chose the first one because, imo, its less rice.

awesome job... very clean...props

i'd call it a silvia-240sx hybrid, but hey, some people call their 240sx a piece o $hiit or rustbucket... it's just a name...

Quote »wow that zenki looks sweet, keep up the good work. Ohh and dont you need a fan shroud.[/quote]I'd guess he can always go for a cooling panel as seen on that group-buy thread to ensure that airflow would go thru the radiator...

PS:I'd white-out that license plate # in your pic, u don't want some thief tracking down where your car sleeps... too much work/effort for it to go out that way.

i can call it whichever i want. and honestly, i think it has more silvia parts on it now than usdm 240sx parts anyway. i had to replace a lot because of damage and it was cheaper to buy the jdm parts. after everything is said and done with the car, i have less than 8,000 invested in it period. just a whole lot of my time.

i don't mind negative feedback. if its actually something that matters. not some technicality thats an opinion.
Your car is NOT a SilviaIt's STILL a 240sx. It was registered in the states as a 240sx.You are right. You can call it whatever you want. But be prepared to get labeled a RICER if you go around calling it a "Silvia"

BTW There is no such thing as a "Type-X" wing for the s14.

he said he was gonna get it painted but the place that did the body work went out of business so he had to get his stuff out. Well i like it can't wait to see it painted and withs some wheels!

i find it really interesting how much people care what i refer to my car as.

well, i guess technically there isn't a "type-x" spoiler for the s14. its off the 180sx. but the grill and spoiler do bolt right on.

so my car has the rear skyline logo on the tail lights, is my car rice? i dont call it a skyline, if someone asks me what car i have, i say its a 240, and drives like a silvia and looks like a skyline. besides that rear skyline piece actually keeps the tails secured in.

Can you be an even bigger *******? I'm really curious. Do you even know what a real ricer is? Maybe I should take you for a drive and point some out to teach you.

Really man you're giving the rest of this community a crappy *** name with your nitpicking self-righteousness that nobody cares about. If I want to call my S13 Silvia front conversion 240sx coupe a freaking Silvia, I'm going to call it a Silvia and you can go F yourself if you don't like it. Same for everyone else that actually puts time, money, effort, and pride into making their vehicle into what they want and like. This person obviously had great pride in their S14, and to have someone as insignificant as you get on their *** about a name, it's laughable.

- End Rant.

To Threadmaker: Very very nice work on the S14! Somedays I wish I kept doing stuff to mine instead of going all crazy on the S13, and others I just love the S13 more. I'm glad someone like you owns the S14 and appreciates it's qualities, and is willing to share pictures, knowledge, and everything else, to the rest of this forum. Don't let the few ***holes rain on your parade. You've got a great car.

Nice car dude. looks very slick keeping with the nice zenki flow.Your car is not a 240, it is the starship enterprise!!! Really, a name is a name, what matters is that it is a sweet ride and you are proud of what you have done. Everyone else is just looking at their post count.

How much did you get the sr for? and those wheels don't look too bad. they could be worse, like 18" spinners yo they look clean, nothing flashy. are you going to put in wheel spacers?+1 for your car having a snorkel!!! errr do any cops ask you what happened to the crown royal that came with the bag

Thank you. I appreciate it.

I am going to glass in the rear bumper and side skirts. and depending on how much time/money will be involved in that will be the deciding factor in how quickly i will be getting new rims or powder coating the old ones and getting wheel spacers.

the cops have not asked about the bag yet. lol

after everything, purchasing the car, and everything in my tagline plus a few things, i am at around 10k and a lot of hours. you also have to consider I did everything myself. I paid 4k for the car so that 6k in parts.

I'm kind of with you on this one Justin. I know that the car is still technically a 240 but why does everyone have to point that out? What's so diff between the 240 and the Silvia if they are the same make. The chassis is the same the interior is the same.... oh wait... wow they have different motors which is easily fixable, and the whole RHD thing. (example) If they take a chevy truck, import to a RHD country (which they do) and then put a different engine in it and change the name is it not still a chevy truck??
