to the OP, nice build thread, good progress. Looks great, keep up the good work. I would have cleaned off the motor just a bit before I threw it in and it was harder to work on/around it. At least that bay doesn't look as cramped as mine, so you might not have as big of a problem haha. (cramped bay: http://img.photobucket.com/alb...1.jpg )

So where did you get the silvia front conversion? I am looking for one but everything seems to be on the west coast. I'm in TN and the shipping would suck from CA.
To answer your Q: I am from Tn as well, and I got most of my **** from jhotimports.com

They are a sponsor here and have a warehouse located in Augusta GA (cheap and easy pickup anyone??) as well as Denton, TX. Never had ANY problems with either of them (Missed headlight brackets in my front end swap, but they overnighted them even though I didn't need them for a couple of months.) I have also had several friends pickup motor swaps from them (the latest being a friend of mine who drove there to pick up a SR20 motor set as well as peruse the warehouse for any other parts he may need).

Well some of you may have read my thread about a leaking transmission. Well I found the culprit.Looks like someone tried to ****** rig it lol. But I got a new oem one so its all good. Hopefully have the car on the road tonight .

Also a few more up dates I just received my circuit sports aluminum reservoir. And I love it It looks so much more cleaner then the stock crappy one.

Also installed some circuit sport hood dampers. I didnt have a hood stand so I had to get something. These are awesome. Easy install took about 15 mins. And not to mention they look really clean too.

K now im also in the process of installing my pignose front lip. I have a heat to to mold it to the front bumper but I cant seem to close the gap between the lip and the bumper. I see alot of people with really clean installs of that lip on the jdm front end, how did yall get it to look good? I dont want to use zip ties to hold it on either. So if someone knows some times from personal experience that would be great.

Dang thats nice. Im not a fan of top hat though they really screwed my friends sr over bad. There was a crack from cylinder 2 all the way down through the oil squirts across to cylinder 4.

Well my friend Mark knows the owner and they are really tight so I trust them. They did an excellent job on the harness.

And the front end is all primer not white. Its all getting painted back to stock color. Super black.

Well looks like I have to replace my rear main seal. I notice a little oil dripping further up the transmission from the shifter rubber cover on the passanger side, and the whole inside of the transmission is soaked with oil. I just hope to god my clutch isnt screwed up....

well first, i'm not a fan of the sr and i hate projector lights and the 'silvia' grill on the s13 front ends (i LOVE the bricks).

with that being said, your car looks really good and this is a nice build you've got going. Get that lip on and some paint and you will have one badass ride.

Ya I kinda like the bricks too. But for 600 bucks the whole front end I cant complain. And the head lights look new. Not a single scratch.

Well just a little up date of whats going on. Well originally I thought my rear main went out on me but after I removed the transmission. I found out that my oil pan was leaking. So Im pulled the motor and decided since its out Im going to paint the engine bay and clean up the motor and spray the motor its self.

Also going to replace the turbo still deciding where to on that one, and a bunch of gaskets.

Heres a few pictures. The bay is prepped and ready to be painted tomorrow.

Heres the motor on the stand. Intake manifold and exhaust manifold removed so I can replace the gaskets and all the little things. Also getting ready to paint the motor its self.

Good updates, what turbo are you considering?

Im thinking of running the s15 turbo. But still kinda stuck between that and the gt2871r. Im most likely gonna go with the s15 and run on 10 pounds. Its the cheaper route right now since I dont have a lot of money to spend till summer. Then summer time get the injectors maf and ecu tune.

Well I finally got my engine bay and wheels painted yesterday. I gotta say I love it Might not be some peoples taste but me personally I hate black engine bays. They are just kinda boring. So I wanted something that would stand out and if someone saw it, it would be hard to forget. Well here some pictures.

Then I painted the wheels blue. They turned out better then I thought they would.

I prepped it but my friend came over with his air compressor and spray gun and he painted it. Pretty good for only his 3rd time painting. And I mixed the paint at my work cuz I work at a body shop.

I cant wait to get the motor all cleaned up and painted. It will look sick
