definitely true. i'm really glad i'm done sandblasting too, i would have done the process a little different if i had to do it again. i know you're using etching primer, but i'd also suggest getting some separate etching chemical in a spray bottle if you decide to blast the whole car over a period of a few days or longer. it will help stop flash rusting so you don't have to spray the primer constantly, then just primer it all at once, know what i mean? i use "picklex20", works awesome. the spots i blasted 2 years ago still look fresh.

on second thought, i just remembered you were keeping everything outside. so maybe it is better to do the primer then. idk lol just an idea :gotme

That's exactly what I was going to do, and also do it in sections, like do the whole back one day, middle the next day, etc. I'm probably going to mostly use walnut shells and some glass bead

What I'm most likely going to do, depending how much I make, is find a 2 bay garage/small apartment to rent. I've found them in my town like 500-800/month, some including electric/utilities. The manager said once I turn 19(2 months) I'll be doing delivers as well, which means more $$$

Needs a hella cleaning and some small things here and there. I don't have much plans for it, will be my DD. Probably do some suspension/wheels and a front lip/some paint.

I feel like I haven't worked on this thing in forever...hopefully soon. Trying to get another canopy so I can get the doors, hatch and windshield out. I also hate bi weekly pay, it makes me mad.

That is all

nice build......im planing a VH45 swap into my vert.....its sad that i have to sell my hatch to my brother to do this swap but i really want to do it lol.....if my brother buys my hatch soon enough there is a 93 Q45 for sale on craigslist for $500 that only needs an alternator and i would really like to buy it lol or there is a Q45 at my local junk yard and an engine assembly is only $140!!!....im not on NICO very often but i will be checking in on your progress every once in a while.....good luck on your build and i hope you dont lose the will to finish this build like most people who have started it have lol

Thanks bro, that does suck about having to sell it but atleast it will be going to your bro and it will further what you want to do with the vert. $140 is a great deal, I paid less then double that for my engine, ecu and harness, it was so cheap I'm buying another one for spare parts and mock up lol

I will definitively be finishing this thing, but in stages lol. First stage is car back on the road and running, NA. Second stage might involve TT's

First time I really went through this whole build thread. Looking good man. Definately lots of work too.

Thankfully my car, originally from Virgina, didn't have any rust on it at all. I've done my share of metal replacement and what not at a body shop I worked at a long time ago, but it's such a pain at times. Looks pretty brave too with all of the wire work your doing. I plan on doing all the fab work and assembly on mine until everything mechanical is done, then take it to the majicians for wiring what nots... Luckily I have a buddy that knows these cars (S13'S and GTR's) really well, so he's my first stop. :)

Good luck man. I'll save this thread in my favorites. :)

Thanks a lot Tofu. To be honest after reading your thread it makes me want to do some v8 awd craziness, I even downloaded a r32 gtr FSM and started reading it hahah, you do some good work and I really want to see that car done.

The rust is a pita, sometimes I just want to get a new shell and start fresh, but at the point I'm at now it wouldn't be worth it, plus I have too many memories with this car haha. And the wiring is quiet a hassle, but most of the hard parts are done, I just need to wait for the car to start coming back together before I can finish it

I just went through the whole thread and all the pics are working for me, so it might be your browser? Idk

Im still alive :D between house hunting 2000 miles away and working on starting multiple businesses I've been quite busy, but! We made an offer on a house and the realtor is pretty confident the bank will accept it, so we should know by Wednesday! I'm stoked haha

its gonna take a few weeks to get the paperwork finished and about 4 trips to bring all the cars down but if all goes well I should be moved in in a month or 2. As soon as that happens the project will continue so don't lose hope just yet!
