checked the fuel lines tured out i had lines the way around so i fixed that and went and tried again

same thing wont catch

fuel pump comes on

pullies move motor shakes and every thing seems right

checked ecu for codes

try and unplug the MAF and see if it will start.

Also make sure that you have the ignitor chip plugged in good, as well as the grounds, one on top of the ignitor and there is one on the coil packs on the back bolt, make sure those are grounded, to check for spark you can pull the coil packs out and stuff the spark plug in the boot and crank it, you can see if it sparks that way

when working on my RB25, I broke a prong off of the solenoid. I removed it and installed the one from the KA and it worked. If yours is shot you might want to see if the one from the KA will fit your RB20.

1992 KA, but I would be supprised that it would be different. It is a pain to get off, so using and impact screwdriver works best. This worked for the RB25, but I don't know if it will work for your RB20. also I used all of the rb25 parts (the spring and shaft) and just the KA solenoid.

I would pull each plug and make sure its getting sprak, that will tell you if its in the CAS, ECU, Ignitor, or coil packs...if you ARE getting spark on all 6, and you smell fuel, then I would start adjusting timing until it catches...if THAT doesnt work, you have a compression problem of some sorts....

If you got spark, and you got air, and you got fuel, it isnt that hard to make fire.....just gotta get it timed right to make it run....

You have my numbers, call me if you need anything!

THey are on the engine harness. Near the ECU 2 relays are suppose to be there. Without them no powa for ya. didn't you see then when you were fishing the harness into the car? I think it's not too far behinde the 2 dash plugs on the RB20 harness or after them I forget.

got new plugs changed them and thought my problems will be over

well guess not

it runs so rough starts up right way idles at like 600 then keeps dropping till it dies on its own

i rewired the mafs thinking it may be it same ****

wut did u do with the sealed wire that goes around the two signal maf wires ?

no vacum leaks no intercooler leaks

the multi checker that came hooked on the harness reads 25 deg timing at 500 rpm is that normal ?

if i rev it it revs with some kind of bug once i let go gas it shuts off

I extend my maf wires with shielded wires from my KA harness. Do you have all the vacume hoses on the motor? I think there is a little one under the Throttle body that needs to be pluged too. Dose it idle ok with the MAF unpluged? well by ok I mean it jumps to like 2k and stays there with out running way rich to make u pass out?

Reset your timing, I believe that 15 degrees is where it should be...the only problem is that you need it at operating temp to do it, so you gotta baby it till it gets up to temp.

15 degrees is the timing for the RB25 I believe, but I am not 100% sure it is the same on the RB20. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

i didnt really wanna mess with timing cuz i know i have cam geras tuned ecu upgraded turbo who knows wut on the internals

so i think this is the way it should stay

checked each and every ground vacum and all hooked / wired

there is a couple of plugs that are loose

a two wire plug that seems to come off a sensor under the intake mani actualy 2 plugs one is kind meduim size with a white/blu and black/yellow wire and the other have two very thin wires and the plug does not have any wires sticking out of the other side

The one under the intake mani may be the IAC Idle air control valve....if you have no power there, you are getting hardly any air at all when the throttle plate is closed. there should be a hose coming off the intake pipe going to the valve under the mani, make sure that SOMETHING is plugged into it.

Thats how mine sounded when my IC pipe blew off and I didn't know it. ran really rich and wouldn't rev would act like it's hitting limiter. The air that was comming into the engine was been metered my the MAF so it ran like crap.

found a couple weird looking things

should this be plugged ?

why is this plugged ?

that plug got two wires on it one is light blue and one is black the plug does not seem to go any where

this plug as well have two wires one is black yellow one is white ( if i remeber right ) and it have both sides of the plug on eiwh out wires coming out the other side ?

another plug with two wires that does not belong any where

nothing is used out this plug so i took it off all together

if u have any input let me know

hoses are all connected i crimped down on all hoses while car running to see if it would change nothing happen

i even did both thr fuel lines too nothing changed

ic pipes are all tight as it may seem

think intercooler maybe leaking ?

but it have no hits dents at all

the mafs bad ? it does not change any thing if i unplug it while car running
