I'm still not understanding why you won't try to get sponsorships to speed up the build. Plenty of companies would pitch in to get their name on the car and use you for advertising. Working on cars is great, but it's even better when someone else pays for it.

I've been thinking about the suspention and some jdm rims, maybe a bb kit but i'm worried that since the body kit isn't jdm, they'll tell me to kiss their ***........as far as body work, he works on it when he can...... i don't want to take it to anyone else to finish cause he is really good at what he does, does things right, doesn't cut corners to save him the hassle...plus he's a good friend

For your information. I got my koni 8611s installed front and rear. Car is so soft and plush yet responsive like crazy and no body roll. Im running 10.7kg/mm 6" front and 8kg/mm 7" rear springs...

I laugh at them people who get jdm coilovers lol... or megans or ksport or whatever... its an unbelivable difference...

car still being worked on though, had some issues to sort out: too much negative camber up front (-5 LOL) -- sorted out now, new brakes need some work some more and new clutch needs adjustment.

All great and nice, but too bad, since snow has arrived in canada = gay. Gotta wait till spring for some fun times/track times... yay for canada.

01. You can have the same guy do the body work. That does not need to be changed.

02. JDM bodykits? They don't care about that crap, they want a unique car that will help sell their products. Your car def. be one of those.

03. By "them" I mean any car product manufacturer. I don't know what companies you have in mind, but you should be able to score sponsorships with many people.

04. With sponsorships you can get more fancy parts for your car.

Obviously you'll need to make a commitment with them to show the car "x" times per year.

Examples of sponsorships: Car company A pays for paint job. You can incorporate their company colors into your paint job. Or offer them something else. Approach any of the countless rim companies maybe score a set of custom wheels. Brake manufacturers, seat manufacturers tire manufacturers. Obviously this isn't a race car, but a show car. The point is, spend a week getting organized and choosing the direction you want for the car, and create a portfolio for your car, and go out and market it. If you can talk any sort of game, you'll have someone sign on for sponsorship. Maybe get this bottomless money pit finished within' this decade.

You're at a stage in your build where they can see you're serious. You won't be some sort of schmuck off the street with this beater 240, and a mile long "future mods" list.

Congratulations, you created an FD RX7. Try reading, he said no more big changes. No one cares what you would make it look like, let him build his own car.

Hey Jeremy, any updates?

Sorry for the wait guys, my body man took some time off for the holidays, and i've been working on the S2000. I did get with him the other day, we pushed the car out so i can get a better look at the rear from a distance.

just cause i love doing it, photochoped

Now in this pic, i told you guys i wanted to do the rear vents on the back bumper, I did make the cutt outs thinner, now i was deciding on how high/low i wanted themI liked the lower one better(left one) but the higher when went better with the lines so thats what i had him go withHere is a drawing he did before cutting, that way they're both perfect, I'm prolly going to just put mesh behind them.here is the right side already done.

I like the side profileand the rear

He's going to be working on the rear bumper, it droops down alittle where it meets the rear light pannel. he's going to fix that and add support so it doesn't happen over time.you can see that in this pic

as far as the front bumper goes, he wants to make a plug, so he can better fine tune it, plus if i ever hit something, he can make another bumper..........wish i had more for you guys but i don't, stay tuned.

Maybe its just an optical illusion, but it looks to me like the right vent is higher than the left.

^ rofl. reading can come in handy sometimes, the vents are just mocked up on there (not cut) to decide where to place them

Not a huge update but here are both vents done, and he made this to add support so the back bumper fits better and won't sag.
