Do you have any problem with heat from the lamps? I notice they do get very hot. Will them cause fire while driving?

The Versa (some) comes stock with fog lights, I don't see why it would get anywhere near hot enough to catch on fire.

It's nice to see people are using the search button! The heat question is valid because the stock fogs are engineered to fit perfectly in the hole and not tansfer heat to any of the plastic components. I would think with these fogs that are oversized for the opening, alot of light is shining directly onto the plastic from the back which could get very hot.

Because the lamp shown here and the one I got is larger than the hole so the black piece, the opening is setting on the lamps which get HOT!! I have not install them yet but I just want to be sure not to burn my versa....

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that if the plastic fog light housing can handle the heat, that the Versa's fog-light surround can do the same.

The flash point of most plastics is quite high...if your bumper was paper mache, then I'd be worried, but since aftermarket fogs are absolutely ubiquitous, you'd think that there would be more warnings about fire hazards if such a danger did exist.

I have been running my fogs daily since the installation. No issues so far.

Have you notice if your black plastic or the bumper area is warm or hot to touch?

Thanks

C5neb,

Would you mind taking a picture of the fog lights at night? Maybe one from the front and maybe one showing how much lights it gives off? (whenever you have time).

They look very nice!

Thanks!
