doesnt look like an 05. taillights, headlights, wheels, and front bumper resemble an 06-08.

to all it may concern im just going by what dealer said. exact words " this right here sir is a 2005 nissan 350z" and i asked whats up with the hood? he said " some custom hood." So let me take a pic of the sticker with the vin#. maybe thatll clarify everything.

Still...that's not a "custom" hood. That hood only comes on the 07 and 08 350Z. That's why everyone is asking if it's been wrecked because the hood has been replaced.

It

The engine bay pic shows that it is not a '07....style was changed in '07.The steering wheel looks like a '05 because the '06 had 6 controls on the steering wheel, 3 on each side....must be a '06 base model. The hood had to be replaced by the previous owner.Looking at the vin#...#6 in the vin# is the year....so it's a '06.

My advice is....don't buy a '03.Too many problems!

The vast majority of '03's have all kinds of problems (very expensive ones too!), in fact, way too many to list. Just my 2 cents worth!

Yes...BTW there is a '04 and a '04.5.Try & find a '04.5....by looking in the driver's side door jam, you'll see a tag with the month & year built date. The '04.5 model will start in Dec. of '03. Other '04.5 tid-bits are...knee pads added on the driver's side, larger size, sun visors but most importantly is the fact that a lot of the earlier problems were fixed and then passed onto the assembly line workers so the car was up-dated with corrected TSB's.

You either read the cars listed below my avatar or have a problem detecting internet sarcasm. Either way you're correct.

Of course it could also be an '05 Track model - but that would be splitting hairs now, wouldn't it?

The '07 model has a different engine bay lay out.

yes they have a higher redline and more hp but hell the 03-05 are at least 200 lbs heavy but let me be exact it is 151 lbs heavier. so more torque and weighs way less. id have to go with the 03-05.
