Richie, Richie, Richie... Here's the thing... When someone constantly talks about their honesty, bravery, toughness - whatever skill or quality it is, they answer in usually the opposite manner that you would expect. Ask a professional driver if they are a good driver and they will usually answer "I'm ok" or something equally self-deprecating.
I've known plenty of hard-working kids that had their own jobs, bought their own cars, paid their way through school, a couple even own their own businesses. All of them, each and every one was down to Earth, had a good head on their shoulders and didn't brag about their accomplishments or embellish their achievements. They certainly cared nothing about impressing a bunch of people online that they hadn't and probably wouldn't meet - their life has a different agenda.
I don't get any of that from you, quite the opposite in fact. Now normally I'd have said it was you trying to fit in with the guys and such but a couple of weeks ago I was doing some research for a Mac tech article (I know, I know - Mac Tech is an oxymoron) I was working on and I came across this little nugget. I see a post from Richie Corcoran. I think "Hey, I know him - I wonder what he's got to say about OSX Leopard." And you start off a post telling everyone how you paid $3500 for your MacBook.
Maybe this will help.
