I guess everyone lives in a safer place than i do. Newark DE is notorious for people getting jumped/mugged/stalked/raped--you name it. So drawing attention to yourself is a definite no-no there. It's more of a campus-based crime thing, so it's mostly isolated to during the school year. I hate UD so much.

With cars, there's a tremendous difference in luxury, quality and performance as you spend more (unless its a Mercedes).
With clothes however, the same identical thing -can- be had for a lower price. I guess it feels good? I'd feel more like an idiot for supporting the coke industry err I mean fashion industry.
I have to agree w/ Jesda. Nice clothes can be had for a fraction of the cost, or rather 'the look' can be obtained for less. I've had some experience with high end labels where something breaks or unravels than i do with some of the midgrade stuff--which is amusing since it's all made overseas anyway.

I don't wear shoes either, just flip flops and a pair of shorts that probably came from Marshalls or Ross (cheap name brand stuff). Spending money on clothes is something I hate, but getting new clothes is always nice.
I'm the same way, i hate spending money on clothes. I tell people i find it 100 times more difficult to spend money on myself than on my car or other people-- it's awful. i like marshalls and ross because you can get the nice stuff for cheap. Sometimes it's a hit-or-miss ordeal, but it's worth it. That new clothes feeling can't be-beat!
