I love me some Sig's. Especially the 225,226,228's. Always wanted a 226 and an HK USP. why do handguns have to be so gawddanged expensive.

go look in the great outdoors forum Dire, there's a bunch in it.

with the Sig and HK's...I dunno, sometimes I feel you're overpaying on them...especially Sigs of late.

and HK's...my god, 8-900 dollars for a pistol with a so so trigger and polymer frame?

F that, give me a CZ anytime.

d!ck's has a Mossberg 802 Plinkster on sale tomorrow for $109. I've got a $10 off coupon too.

I've been thinking about a bolt action 22 since I've noticed I lose a lot of power cycling the action in my Marlin Model 60 and 795.

I'm talking a 6" drop at 100 yards with the semi-auto vs ~2" with a falling block or bolt action.

What do you think about the model 802?
if you want a bolt .22, look into the Savages and CZ's.

I'd like to get one of the Savage rifles in .17 HMR. Everyone that gets one seems to love it.

what I really need to do is take out my 10/22 more though. maybe put a decent little scope on it for fun.

That's a good thing. The 10/22 takes a couple hundred dollars to do what a Marlin Model 60 can do right out of the box!

I'm going to order a Marlin 981ts on Monday. It's a sexy beast!

I was looking at the 17hmr guns. I just can't justify $15 for a box of 50! I'm still pissed that Federal Lightnings cost me $1.47 a box of 50!!!

I would have said Remington 597, but agreed.

God darn it, I am starting to dislike the gun store.

I just bought a Marlin 1894 in 44mag...

eh...the newer 10/22's are um...ewwww. I dunno exactly what Ruger did, but I think they got rid of alloy receivers and went to plastic. the blued doesn't look so bad but you grab a "stainless" version and it's just an awful awful looking rifle.

the .17 HMR is a great little round though...sure, it's a few bucks more a box than .22WMR's but it's a better shooting round for varmint work at longer distances.

I wonder if it's legal for coyote here...and if TN still has a bounty on them...I'd imagine they do as they're getting really overpopulated.

I decided to go another route.

A little Marlin 39a followed me home today!

As far as bolt action rifles go give me a Remington model 700 in .300 win mag and I'll be a happy camper.

I agree, but add a Blackhawk Stock to that and you're golden!
