thanks everyone!

i am currently working on getting the exhaust tips mounted - I am making brackets that will be welded to the inside of the box to bolt the tips to. I need to make a Y pipe to connect the 2 sets of tips, so that will run up to the top of the frame rail and have a bracket to bolt to the frame - this will make the exhaust tips solid mounted to the box and frame which will eliminate them from rattling and let me have the tight clearance between the tips and the cut out in the box side. Then I will just have a flex pipe that connects to the rest of the exhaust - I will try to get some pics of this soon.

Also, I got 200% frustrated with the factory wiring harness since it does not run where I want it, has too many wires I dont want, and basically is impossible to make look nice - So i ordered a new harness from EZ Wire Harnesses - It shipped today so hopefully I will have it for the long weekend so I can get the truck up and running again for some tuning

One last thing - after having the motor sitting in the truck for a while my front suspension has settled and left me with about 1/2" between my front tires and inner fenders.. so Im also working on trimming them

I'll do my best to get some pictures up soon

The truck was finally running again with the new wire harness - I was going to finish the exhaust tonight start some next weekend but i kind off got side tracked at the junk yard on Sunday... I found a Holset H1C in excellent condition - just needs to be cleaned up a little. Mock fitted it tonight and the down pipe that was on it will splice into mine easily. Oil return will bolt on, oil feed should not be an issue either. The only real issue is the compressor housing hits the valve cover - It looks close enough that I can shave a little of the compressor housing for it to fit.

The truck is up and running with the new turbo and the side exit exhaust! It still needs tuning so as of now it just idles. Its been taking me way too long to do everything but I guess that is expected with a project - anyway i have run in to a few issues with getting it drivable so unfortunately it wont be making it to the RB meet :frown: - Due too how I did the chop i needed to not only cut the top off the windshield, but I needed to trim the sides as well, I spent about 4 hours wet sanding 1 side of the glass to get it too fit and still needed to sand the other side and I managed to crack the glass in half while moving it. So i have decided to make a temporary windshield out of lexan so I can do some test driving and worry about cutting another glass later. Also my laptop decided to die so no tuning for me at the moment.

On a better note - here is a quick video of the first start up with the Holset turbo and the side exit exhaust hooked up..

I DROVE THE S10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bigthumb:

Drove about an hour to my parents and tuned a little on the way - did really good on the way - stayed at about 190 degrees on the way with the fans on and no ducting under the truck... the ride home however was not so good.....

Got a coolant leak somewhere and started over heating - high five for AAA though

im uploading a quick video - nothing special - kinda got caught in the rain..

thanks guys
im going to take a look at the cooling issues tomorrow night - im not sure what went wrong - i didnt realize i had a leak untill the temps jumped to 210 and the radiator started hissing steam - the roads were wet and i only have water in the system at the moment.

anyway here is 1 last pic...

Found my coolant leak tonight - pretty much a stupid mistake on my end - the coolant lines were sitting too close to the drive shaft and one of the lines was resting on it so needless to say it wore it down to a pin hole leak - so at least it was nothing major, planning to get a new line after work tomorrow.

I had one other problem last night - somehow I managed to blow the check valve on the brake booster apart :gotme

But I should be back on the road tomorrow night so hopefully later this week/weekend I will do some more street tuning and actually get a video of it in action :bigthumb:

Any October updates? Love this build, very similar to my odd rb swap into a 61 rambler. All of the 'squirt' info is greatly appreciated! Keep up the great work.

not much to update right now... im pretty much done driving it for this year unless we get a decent day here in NY - i originally was doing a trailblazer front end, however i didnt think it really fit the truck now that it is chopped so i am working on a new front end which hopfully i can have a mock fittment for the spring.

Hey kevwa, I have a few ms2 specific questions for you. I have pretty much have the power circuit assembled on the main board, just wondering what you did for IAC? Did you run the stocker ( from what i can see is PWM) If so did you get the PWM IAC Valve Control (TIP120) 'Mod-Kit" from diyauto? Its the last thing before testing the power circuit on my board. Mine is for a S1 rb25 pretty much exact setup you have. thanks man.

well that sure is one way of dealing with it all! Have you had any issues with ruff or low idle when cold? The rambler is for summer only like your truck so i suppose i could do the same. Any other tips while assembling the ms2? Seems to be going very easily, and i have to say i am quit impressed with the whole "kit"

my was not bad last year when i had the stock throttle body on it - this year i have the ISIS intake and Q45 throttle body which I dont have my idle set yet.

Yeah i was impressed with the kit as well - no tips other than to just take your time and make sure all you solder joints are good.
