my new cressida.... be jealous

so ive been looking for another car to daily while i tear apart the 240 and do some much neede repairs to the underbody before i prep for my build next fall.

after looking for a decent and cheap car i could drive for this winter i stumbled across this diamond in the rough.

its an 89 toyota cressida... 132k miles on the 7mge with the autotradgic transmission, and crush red velvet interior

paint is faded to hell and its going to need brakes and a metal headgasket to ensure the motor doesnt sieze, but for 500 bones i think it was a great deal.

this spring i might just paint it flat black (its really that ugly)onto the pics, feel free to comment

Are you going to paint the interior flat black too ?? It would be an improvement .

jk, not bad for a daily beater and at only 500 dollars it doesn't matter how ugly it is !!!

Perfect timing, winter driving is the only fun driving you will have in that car ever (unless it's swapped or 5-speeded).

haha yea its just somethin to slush around with, if i slide it off the road i dont think it could make it look any worse....

i was thinkin a slight drop/ wheels and a 5 spd down the road... who knows

Today I put my 18 inch volks on the Cressy, it looked ridiculous on stock suspension. Actually Megan makes coils for it now, you could put those on for cheap. I think the only other company that makes them is some version of Stance, but don't quote me on that.

I don't think that is a Cressida, there is only 2 doors. Looks like a x73 front though.

cressidas are sweet, one of the first drift events i ever went to i rode along with a dude who had a 2jz swapped one. it was amazing.

I vote a 7MGTE with 5 speed swap. 4 door supra style. But not worth dumping into . Cool cars when done right, 7Ms are stout pieces.

definately no turbo, but 5 spd swap is definately a thought if i hold onto it until im done my s13

im thinkin weds farmas for wheels (see wheel fitment first post) would be VIP tyte yo

haha all the x73s make me jealous... they are so much cleaner

I just dont understand the love for cressidas, i mean no matter how i look at them, they are ugly, if they were FWD would anyone even give them a second look? I once heard one referred to as a "drift limo" in a craigslist ad and i thought that was a joke.
