I just picked up a 92 MR2! Its 5-Speed and has T-Tops! It needs a lil work but i cant complain considering it only set me back 400$

The hood and fenders came with the car they just need to be put back on. The interior is super clean. There is only a small tear on the drivers seat were u get in and out. The car runs and drives really really smooth for its age.Im actually surprised at how smooth it runs. Now onto the pictures!

Nice! They're fun to drive, and working on them is sometimes a p.i.t.a.

Looks good tho.

Post it up on the mr2.com message board. lots of useful info there.

Congrats! I've always been a fan of the 1st gen. I can remember building a scale model of one in '86.

2GR SWAP

DO ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

My bro has one with a 3SGTE and he's planning on doing the swap. According to him, it's one of the best Toyota V6's out there, around 320"ish" at the crank IIRC, and room for more.

Didn't you get rid of the 3000GT because you had too many cars and couldn't get anywhere on your current S13 project? Now you have a new MR2 project that needs more work than the work than the S13 does.

My buddy has an MR-2 that he has done all kinds of stuff to... including Megasquirt system. If you need any info, I can point you in his direction. He's big on the MR-2 boards too. Goes by Big Thurs.

I want to do this swap soooo bad!!! Im gonna keep running this motor into the ground though.Once it blows thats the swap im going with.

No, i sold the 3000GT b/c it was a POS and i had to keep dumping money into it. And all theMR2 needs is the hood and fenders put back on and a new bumper.I think thats a little less work then a 240 with a RB swap ;)

Plus once the 240 is running,im selling it too.

Cool! I go by Basic2 on the board.
I recently started a build/restoration thread. Nothing fancy. I replaced the rear suspension bushings with Prothane and got rid of some rust and some new/used parts.
My future plan is a 3vz-fe v6 swap. Cheap tho.

I dunno if it's only 3SGTE related...but they tend to catch on fire.

Install some fat new ground from transmission to the body, and engine to the body.

The 3SGTE likes to use the throttle cable as a ground...which ends up with a huge fire. Adding those grounds will prevent it from happening.
