Another Volvo!
1992 Volvo 740 GL Wagon

As some of you may know, I was hit in my other Volvo about a month ago. Link is here--> stupid-people-who-run-red-lights-t485812.html#p5511053

I found this one locally. I paid $1000 for it too. It has 85,500 original miles, and is Auto. It's got a rare color combination of Silver exterior and a black leather interior (according to Volvo USA). This thing is nearly as clean as a 17 yr old car can be. I've got nearly complete paperwork with it too. I've got the predelivery sheet, all books and manuals(actually 2 full sets of manuals), and service records to boot. I'll have to get some pics of them. I've never owned a car where I know this much history about it.

I'm the 3rd owner, and this was originally a Maryland car, but there is no real rust forming yet.

The only issues are I need a new right turn signal light (ordered, $20 yay!), need to fix the power antenna motor, needs new speakers (only one is working), and just needs a good cleaning/ light TLC. And maybe some Turbo wheels and new tires :)

Here are some more pics

Look at all the room! and Yes, at 6'2, I can lay straight out, and my wife fits in the back with me too. :naughty:

Engine bay shot, looks nearly good as new.

I have a local guy who works only on Volvos, and he has said that this is one of the cleanest 740's he's seen in years. All of my friends and family are astounded that I only paid $1000 for it. Overall I'm very happy with this car, but I still miss my S70.

I didn't realize swagger was associated with the guido subculture.

and all of the above.

I giggle when I see this nice black S40 sporting the prancing moose on the fenders on the way home occasionally.

I'd like to get a wagon myself....I've loved the Volvo wagons for as long as I can remember.

nice volvo!
I always thought the word "swagger" was associated more with the rap/hip hop culture than guidos :gotme

swagger should properly associated with anyone possessing charisma.

not guidos or idiots that can't keep their pants above their underwear.

Yeah, there is some damage to the rear bumper, the previous owner backed into something when leaving a parking lot. It's just cosmetic. I plan on getting a new front/rear bumper and side mouldings, and painting them some form of black or something to match a little better.

Here's an interior shot for y'all. All the electronics work, heated seats work, and I'm rocking the AM/FM/Cassette. Rad.

Glad you got a new one! :)

I was sad when you lost the sedan. This one looks nice. Tons of room too.

Thanks for the kind words guys! I still can't look at the pictures of my S70 without being consumed by sadness...

Krash, plans for now are pretty sparse. I am just keeping it in good condition for now, as it is my DD. Later, maybe turbo and 5 speed swap. I plan on also just looking for rare factory options to put on it.

And I have just been informed by my Mom, that all of my family (back in Ohio), and all of her friends, are now referring to me as "the Volvo Guy" :) I kind of like it.
