Nice . Congratulations on your mods Looks great.

I have questions for you:

- What do you think about your 48 SMT LED tail lights during daytime? I have the same as you and find them dimmer than the halogen bulbs during the day.

- During daytime, do you have your radio dimmed so much that you cannot see the clock any more when you brake? The radio is not dimmed during braking if the lights are on. I don't know if it is like this since I changed for LEDs as I have just noticed it. Just wondering if it is because of the move to LEDs or if it comes from something else.

Thanks.

kazzan - These leds were all purchased from V-Leds.com. I did them myself they are pretty simple modifications that requires a flat head screwdriver for the interior dome and map lights and to remove the air intake under the hood to change the driver side lights. A 10mm nut tool to remove the brake lights.

pescakl - I havent noticed the difference because i had a nightmare trying to modify the wiring on the leds for the brake light. I had fuses that blew 4 times -_-. I got tired of doing the unplug battery, install bulb and then replug battery several times. I never had a chance to compare it. I also have an aftermarket radio installed onto my rogue now so im not sure about that

Here are how my front markers look at night with my lowbeam hid on. I'll probably take a daytime pic for less glare but it looks pretty cool at night to me.

okay well look here. i always run into problems. i tried to install my subs and amp into my Rogue (bose setup)

i downloaded the PDF thingy that explains every single wire etc etc.

hooked up the lil audio thingy that transfers the regular wires to the audio wires for the amp.

had everything straight then got stuck trynna fit the power cord (0 gage power cord) thru the hole already there for the bose wires... (by brake/gas pedal)

then i dried to drill a new hole but my drill wasnt powerfull enuff.

its like everytime i start something stufff messes up.

so how much would u do an install for if i brought my Rogue to u.

(all the light mods u have except the turning signal HIDs...)

and i want my fog lights in HID also (including low beams)...

and i want the taillights in HID... the license plate reader and the dome light and stuff... except i want bright white in the front top two lights...

and that blue for the middle top dome light...

i just wanna drive to New York with a couple/few/some hundred bucks....

sit in a chair and watch u install everything. pay u and ride off. i wanna make that happen in 4/5 weeks max.

Installation of leds isnt a problem, neither are the installation of the hids for lowbeams, I don't have foglights so im not too sure as to how to change them, i was planning to do it soon once i find the right kit to buy.

I think you're better off going to a custom shop than to drive all the way to ny to do it imo. I'm not in the city currently either right now im currently going to college in buffalo, ny. I wouldn't charge you much for the installation either cause i dont believe its worth that much to install a couple of leds. Just maybe like $50 (a week of gas)

I believe installing leds is a very easy to moderate difficulty diy. The project you had to do required drilling and etc. This project doesn't require much but tools that you can buy and patience. The hardest diy for the project you want to do is changing the fog lights to hids i believe.

well how bout this. u shoot me an email. [email protected]

prolly in 2 weeks when i get my paycheck ill be ordering off the website...

then is when ill prolly need ur help the most. as in an explanation in lame terms i guess.

as for the HIDs in the fog lights/headlights... yea im thinking about just ordering a ballast and bulb kit for 150 a set. then just going to a shop to install.

FYI the reason i said you could install was becuz im from NY. i drive back and forth almost every other weekend (despite gas prices)....

so the trip would be my usual.... i would just kinda stop by for an install

its just plug and play for those bulbs nothing needed to be modified.

the high light should be no different i think it would be the same as installing the lowbeams, but hid for highlights is a bit crazy i would think lols

I know this is bringing up a post from the dead.. But I ordered Type 2 led's for the parking lights, where they go from white to orange.. I thought they were individual.. so I ordered 2, but got two sets of 2.. So I have an extra set for the Rogue.. If anyone wants them, I'd be willing to sell them .. They're brand new, unopened..

I bought them for 54.99 per set. So I'd be willing to sell them including shipping for $50 to the Continental US. Let me know!

Since this thread is already been bumped to the top - has anyone successfully changed the "mood light" from orange to another color? If you don't know what I'm talking about, I believe it's only on SLs and is a tiny whole on the ceiling just behind the sunglasses holder. It emits an orange glow that illuminates the cabin when the lights are on. Does a good job, I'd just like to replace it with a white or blueish LCD.

And while we're at it, I'd also love to change the odometer/gas display backlight to something other than orange.

It is quite easy to do: Use a flat screwdriver with a cloth to protect the plastic (or use a hard plastic knife) and you stick it, for the map light towards the front of the car (where you hit it to turn it on or off), for the dome light towards the driver side of the light ( where the button is if I remember correctly), and you pry it to open the cover.

You can look in the service manual in the "Interior" section to verify it.

So all i need to do is pop the cover off and put in the LED's? and thats it?

Also has anyone tried the Amber LED's? To keep it with the color scheme or is it a different color then the dash/radio?

Also I was curious if your headlights and taillights were LED's? Or are the headlights HID's? I have an S model so i am curious as to how these would work. I also just assume all the lights are plug and play?

I want to change my map, dome, and trunk lights to a nice bright LED. i just wanted to know the best brand, or site to buy it from, and the sizes i need for those three areas. I'm not really looking for coloured lights, rather bright white either warm white or just regular white LED. Pictures are all great on this thread, but i would like to know how i would go about installing them.. i've seen people do it quite easily but i've never had to change interior lights in any of my cars. By the way, ORIJIN, i really like the trunk light because it is nice and bright, very useful. Thanks in advance guys! sorry if anything is posted on another thread, the site is crapping out on me and i can't search the site for anything.

Does anyone know what number the map light number is, seems that DE3175 doesn't fit, I would like to replace all interior lights to LEDs and this post stopped before all bulb numbers were answered.

Thanks.

Yea i figured out my problem. I had bought the DE3175 for the dome and not the map, If you want the map lights you need to get the same bulb with a wedge backside. I bought this one which converts the bulb to a wedge

When you say WEDGE do you mean this one?

I don't get it. How DE3175 can be a wedge? DE3175 has only 2 wires/contacts while Wedge socket is for 7440/7443 newer Japanese vehicles. Here's the example:

Sorry I'm confused, so for my 08 SL with moonroof DE3175 is the Map light, Dome light and rear hatch light?

Thanks.
