Try reading the Constitution.
The beauty about the US is that "THE PEOPLE" are supposed to be able change the government. Can the people actually change the Government? NO. I want you to try something.
Get together a group of people and start "peacefully" rebelling against the current government. Even though you have the right to peacefully assemble, your right to decide how your government should be run has been taken away. If you try to start a protest against the current US government, in the name of "National Security", you will be labeled a "terrorlst". And you can and will be arrested.
Does this seem like a "just" way for a country to be governed? IIRC, imigrants(pilgrims) came to the "Americas" to escape political and religious persicution. They did not like the way that England/Europe was being ruled. So they left. When they wrote the constitution, they specifically stated that if the people of the United States of America found the Government to be insufficient or unjust, they shall be able to reform the government. This means that the people should be able to get rid of the current government if they see it fit.
