Here are some pictures of my pretty much completed rebuild with new Supertech 9:1 pistons, Eagle rods, new bearings... etc

so shiny

whats that hiding over there?

is that another bottom mount turbo?

YES IT IS

GT3076R .86

Babies waiting to go on the car

This was just a test fit so I am going to port and enlarge the wastegate opening to combat against boost creep since its known to happen alot in internally wastegated turbos.

Rated at 500hp, i will see how far this turbo can really go. I customed a 4inch intake pipe to connect to the z32 maf. Also ordered a anti-surge compressor housing that comes on the normal T3 version of the GT3076R.

WD is gonna hate me for keeping bottom mount but i still like him

Cant wait to hear some feedback on that turbo. Im kinda doubtful of the 500 hp claim on the t2 flange however, but i guess we'll see. Now we got two guys running this turbo on built motors, so we'll be able to see what these things will really do.

is that a t3 manifold? it looks like a t2. and if it is t3 who did you get it thru? SSAutochrome?

what A/R did you end up going with?

beautiful setup regardless

Nah, the T2 bottom mount SSAC has proved itself IMO. The fitment is usually good, the quality seems to be good, as far as not cracking anyway. Not to mention they are almost free, simply hard to beat cheap and functional man. I'm not a T2 fan, but Easy made some good power before. I hope you guys do well with this combo.

The compressor is rated for that number, but the exhaust housing and T2 flange will most likely limit the power potential. I've seen T3/TO4's in 50 trim with a .63 AR exhaust housing make 420 <---heh, at 20 psi of boost. Using that as a comparison it'll be interesting to see who makes what power at what amount of boost.

The .64AR T2 has a inner area equivelent to a .48AR T3

Sp the T2 .86AR is pretty much the same as a .63AR T3 with the T2 flange being the bottleneck ofcourse.

A T3/T04E 50 trim compressor flows about 40lbs/min

GT3076R 76mm 56trim compressor flows about 50lbs/min plus its a GT series wheel for better flow. Hands down, i would pick the T3/T04E for being more cost effective! Its half the cost of the GT3076R even tho the GT turbo will make more HP per PSI of boost, i guess we will wait and see.

Motor is in, almost finished...

Gas in CA is freakin killer. $4.85 a gallon for 91 octane. Thank god for motorcycles...

This is how the car sits now, I should be done in the next day or so. I am going to break in the motor NA so I dont get shavings in my new turbo.

Yeah, I haven't washed the car in over 2 months, hense the dial in time still on the windshield from when the day it blew up at the track.

I am going to dump the car even lower after I get situated with the engine.

Don't lie about lowering your car more. I'm surprised you have it this low when you wanted to be "driving on air" haha

yeah I know how what you mean about gas Trung. I remember sunoco gas station in redwood city had 100octane for 5.29 back then and I thought that was crazy. Now I just called them up again and they said its 5.69. The hell.....I might as well pump 100 octane daily now! If I still lived in SF I would. The gas station out here in socal is too far from me. Find out how much is yours in Sac. Maybe just pump that from now on and turn up the boost to compensate.

And look at this thing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

Kind of cool huh?? I emailed them to ask what material it's made out of. If it's mild steel I would weld on a wastegate flange and buy a manifold like yours. Log manifolds pains me when i see it....it's just all wrong....I would rather have a t2 megan racing mani than Log. Thats my opinion
