Well I finally got my car on the dyno. It seems to be running OK other than it sounds like a jet plane. I have stock IC with stock recirc valve. Stock turbo extension and downpipe and 3" non mandrel bent exhaust with an Apexi dunk muffler. On the dyno it sounded like a supersonic jet compared to the other SR cars dynoing.

Anyway, only other mods I have are electric fans, walbro, z32 fuel filter.

What do you guys think of the graphs? I'm a newbie to dyno graphs.

S13 Redtop. I had it at 13 psi but apparently it was pushing itself down to 11 or 10 psi....

What do you guys think of the A/F?

A/F looks prime for detonation, especially with a sidemount.

It's pretty lean at the torque peak.

i'm probally misinformed......but i was under the impression that anything above 11:1 was fine

So is 13 psi just too much for the sidemount? For my fuel system I just have a Walbro and the Z32 fuel filter. Stock other than that.

What else would cause me to lean out so much?

No...its the other way around....you dont want to go much about 12:1 and not much below 11:1. I usually tune my cars to 11.5 for safety. Some people to get numbers will tune up to 12.5 afr, but that, and anything more IMO is risky. I havent looked at many stock SR dynos or AFR data, but it only looks to be lean under spool, which really isnt the worst thing....AFR under high rpms is more of a concern...at youre sitting at 12...so its ok IMO. BUT, like i said, ive never looked at other sr dynos...so ill kinda check around and compare. nice numbers BTW

For your small engine upgrades, the Dynos looks very good! I think you have a very fresh engine to get so good Dyno!

Thanks. Yeah I was happy with the numbers. An SRT4 front mount and SAFC2 are going in soon so I hope I can boost the numbers a bit.

Someone tells me running that lean is normal for a stock untuned SR. Anyone else agree with that? I haven't been too successful finding other stock SR dyno sheets.

That *someone* knows more about SR ECU tuning than anyone, so I'd give his opinion a little more respect. http://www.rs-enthalpy.com if anyone wants to know.

Whooops. Didnt even look at his user name on Freshalloy. I know he is credible. I'm a journalist, I usually need to double check everything I hear before I consider it to be true. But I'll take his word.
