just got back from the track, SUPPOSEDLY the 3.5se A/C CVT gets 14.6...... total BS. my 1st run i got a 14.5 with hella bad reaction time. 2nd run i got a 14.4 with a better reaction time but my car went slower, 3rd run got a 14.4 but ran even slower, 4th run the guy was talking to me and i got confused and did a 14.8 lol 5th run i was just zoned out and had a hella bad reaction time and did a 14.7. so with some practice and a little bit of luck i think i MIGHT be able to get my stock 3.5se CVT down to 14.3. i do have a 2.5" cat-back from a local muffler shop BUT it's still the stock restricted muffler so basically my car is stock. and for those who don't belive me, i got the (2) 14.4 time slips and the 14.5 timeslip. would have made a video but all my friends ditched me at the last minute.

P.S. how do you change your password? it wont let me. forgot my log in info so it emailed me a new password but i want to change it

Did you brake stall it to get the rpms up or just floor it? Also your reaction time shouldn't effect your times. Run starts when u trip the beems...MPH?

my 1st run i got 14.539 @ 97.491 MPH. my 2nd run i got 14.475 @ 96.888. MPH my 3rd run i got 14.477 @ 96.761

my other 2 times i totally screwed up and not even worth posting (threw away the slips lol). and ya i stepped on the brake and gas to build up the RPMS. 1st run i forgot to turn off the traction control for the burn out and looked like an idiot lol i was racing a muscle car that did a huge burn out and his friends laughed at my burn out. then when we raced he got a 15.8 and they all got quite and my friend was like ya you guys arnt laughing now lol

oh and when i click on user profile it says invalid password or something invalid. maybe one of the moderators can fix it.

Did you try manual shifting at all? I think in auto mode its faster but I want to prove it when I get to the track...What were the track temps? Your pretty close to sea level correct?

i didn't try manual mode because i too think "D" is faster. i didn't check the temp outside today but i think somewhere around high 60's. as for sea level, i have no idea. sacramento is also called the valley.... i have no idea lol i just googled the A/C 3.5se 1/4 mile times and all the manuals were finishing at like 101 or 102 MPH.... forgot what the MPH was on the A/C that got 14.6 in magazines. seemed like the more races i did, the slower my ending MPH was. the track was really crowded so i didn't get to do as many runs as i would have liked to do. my goal is to hit a 14.3 stock which i mean, i did 14.4 with a slower MPH then my 14.5 so it could be possible.

Manuals are lighter, usually have less drivetrain loss to the wheels and less tourque management(factory safegards on drivetrain) so they should et quicker. From my past cars put a stall converter and tune (adjust shiftpoints) kick the sticks butt.lol But this new tech(CVT) may not be as mod friendly..I say you did great, take out the jack/spare, quarter tank gas and a nice cool engine may get you closer to 14.0 /100mph..

You might want to fix your third run times

lol thanks, i didn't even see the 14.14...... lol ya my friend told me i should take out the spare/jack and lower my tire pressure. this was my 1st time actually racing at the track (went my brother and friends several times) so i wasn't expecting to do something super amazing. but next time i might take out the spare/jack. and about the 1/4 tank lol my low fuel light comes on when i have ANYTHING under 1/4 tank and when the low fuel light is on, the car does fuel cut at 100 mph so i didnt want that to happen.... then i remembered my car doesnt go past 100 mph in the 1/4 mile lol i went with half tank. oh and thanks for the compliment.... i had a feeling the car did better then 14.6.... those magazines need better drivers.

Hey thats cool man! Good job! I was wondering what these cars would run stock?

Now, you said you forgot to turn off the Traction Control, Where is the Traction Control button? I don't have a button for it, I just have the VDC on my car and I don't think you can have both TCS and VDC can you? Shoot, sorry to go off topic?

Seriously, I have been a drag race queen for years and years, but I refuse to race my A/C. I just want to have a nice little sleeper that doesn't confuse me for a FAST car on the street. lol.... If I start racing it, I will be in big trouble. And now that I know it is a mid 14 sec car, I am almost tempted to do everything in my power to make it a mid 13sec car! AAAGH! Again, congrats to you though on making some runs and being such a great sport! Take it easy and keep us posted how you do in the future.

you guys are so bad for my wallet.

You're right, you can only have the traction control or VDC, VDC being the "better" of the two.

And ya, the forums will drain your wallet quick, all these darn people who love their cars....

Sounds pretty good. I'd also like to see how you would do using the manual mode in CVT. O and maybe how a 2.5 would run

1st run i was in the right lane and it said "altima"

2nd run they decided to put the # that was on my window instead (kinda liked it saying altima better lol) but both of these are mine, 2nd run i was in the left lane but it says how much i improved from the 1st run.

14.1?? I think you are looking at the wrong side of the time slip. Hussain, you were on the left lane the second time right?

LMAO! when i got that time slip i was sooo happy and like practically dancing in my car and then i was like oh ****, i was in the other lane lol so no i only got a 14.4, which still isnt too bad. but my ending MPH was slow so with practice, a 14.3 is definitely possible and MAYBE (not as likely) but MAYBE even a 14.2 is possible for the stock 3.5se CVT.

The closest one to you is the Lakeland track off of exit 33 on I-4. I go to Bradenton Motorsports which is off of I-75 south of me.

my best time in my spec-v with the 6speed and the 2.5 was 14.992, but that was with CAI, Header, Exhaust, and balance shaft removed. My stock times were around the 15.3 mark I'm not sure what the weight difference in the cars are, but with the same transmission and motor, they should run roughly the same speed. The Spec-V weighed in at 2750 LBS.
