I feel like thats a good 300 pounds less than a 6spd coupe. Thanks though that gives an idea.

2nd run they decided to put the # that was on my window instead (kinda liked it saying altima better lol) but both of these are mine, 2nd run i was in the left lane but it says how much i improved from the 1st run.

wow those times are pretty good for a CVT V6. 14.4 @ 97, not bad. my best was a 14.5 @ 82 which sucks because i ran out of gas when i hit 4th gear, and the car started to pull back and drop speed and rpm. i wouldve hit at least a 14.2 trapping around 99-100, but the damn car messed me up.

btw i also hit a 2.205 60ft which is good and also better than yours, but it still needs improvement. with your 60ft times that you have right now, and they are consistent, i doubt you will be able to hit that 14.3 that you want. you need to get traction off the line, you can basically tell what you will be capable of running within the first 60ft. every tenth of a second shaved off in the 60ft is .3 shaved off your total time.

oh and another thing...you probably spun alot of tires off the launch right. next time try easing into the gas until you really hook up and then just push the pedal through the floor.

thanks. it was my 1st time actually racing at the track (instead of watching my brother or friends) and i'm going to try and go next wednesday also. but about the burning out, i don't know what was going on but i couldn't burn out! like when i tried i'd barely get a little screech out of it lol and i've done burnouts and donuts before (pull up the E brake and floor the gas pedal). then when i checked my tires i had this sticky stuff on it (my brother said probably burnt rubber from other cars). but it was like sticky as glue. i think i did get a little screech in the tires when i launched it on 1 run. next time hopefuly i'll have 1 of my friends come with a camera and make some vids and maybe that will help me to see what went wrong....... i was wondering what those other numbers were lol (the 60ft)

From my experiences the CVT doesn't like burnouts. I could do them all day in my 330i. But in the CVT with the TCS off, cant do much at all

i don't know, i've done really good burn outs with my car in the past but have been trying to fight the temptation.... tire tread got low so i rotated the tires and i'm holding off till i'm ready to get some new wheels.

i just got back from the track yesterday and i can tell you drive is faster than the other. and good job on the times. the best i got was a 14.60 with a 2.30 60ft at 97.6 mph. i did no burnout what so ever. it was just pull up to the line and go.

i have a 3.5 6MT Sedan.

ive been to the track a few times with it. so far my best run was a 14.5 @ 82mph, with a 2.205 60ft. what it really shouldve been was a 14.1-14.2 @ 99-100mph, but the problem was i had so little gas in my tank that when i hit 4th gear the car started losing speed and the engine started shutting off, so i clutched out and let the car roll for the rest of the 1/4 mile.

it was unfortunate, but i know where i stand. i have one of the fastest times for 3.5 6MT sedans!

so with the coupe weighing in at about 100lbs less, we can shave about a tenth...so...think a 14 flat is outta the question?

no...not really out of the question, maybe out of the question for a CVT but definately not the 6MT. my time is not the fastest, there is one other to my knowledge that has a faster time than me, his was a 14.1 @ 101, and he is also a sedan. so with that 100lbs less, its very possible to hit that low 14.

im still gonna go back this spring and try to hit a better time, i am so not satisfied with my results, my car robbed me! i want to hit high 13's before i start modding the car, or at least get a really low 14 with a high trap speed.
