I normally don't like cats much, but my parents next door neighbor has one that is very young--only a couple months old, and it's the best pet I've ever kind-of-vicariously-had. The neighbors are very nearly never home. They have asked my younger brother (he's 6 years old) to take care of the cat for them. So the cat lives at my parents' house pretty much. It sleeps in the garage during the summer, it's got a cat bed and such...and it loves to hide behind the front left tire of the Maxima...He never pooped on the Maxima (oohhhhh...that'd be a dead cat, regardless of kick-***-ness) but it did poop on the carpet. That was fun to clean. I'll be sitting on the couch in the living room and hear a clicking on the sliding door next to the couch. Pull back the curtain, and there's the cat (Gigi, pronounced jee-jee--what a STUPID name!) at head level hanging from the screen door. This cat's purrs would put ricer civics to shame.

My 17 year old orange tabby is the same way purring wise. But his sounds more like a Diesel motor...
