well from speaking to others on freshalloy, someone said that they flipped an OBX (SS AutoChrome) manifold and got it to work on a SR20 w/ a T3/T04B so that makes me "kinda" happy to hear, just that the CA is tilted differently, and the front cover pokes out a bit more on the side,

but i'll find out this afternoon, i sent it to cut and flip and will be test fitting it later...

wish me luck

ca19det, you got a ETA on a T3 manifold that will fit? I am needing to get one ASAP and can't get one fabricated where I am

FYI:

The modified manifold FITS PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am soo happy right now, i took the manifold by the mechanic this morning (thinking that it wouldnt fit, hey its black friday), and fitted up the manifold, turbo and wastegate and downpipe. it looks so perfect and has room to spare.. i am sooo excited for the first time in so long about this project... it looks pretty similar to drumma22 set up, but i think the turbo actually sits lower than his.. i am able to keep A/C and power steering.. in this top mount version it can be used on LHD cars...

just to let everyone know what was needed:

I copied a OBX style SR20 manifold, with CA18DET flange, external w.g. port and T3 flange - it was originally a bottom mount.

i then had the entire thing cut from the head flange and flipped over 180* - fits perfect!!!

it actually has about an inch between the head/frontcover and allot of clearence between the turbo and hood..

i wish i had my camera to take some photos..

but i have also found aplace that does MUCH better fab work (they actually cut and flipped it etc) and i am going to be working with them to make a few to sell at a MUCH better price than quoted above, they will be T25 bottom mount, T25 top mount, T3 top mount and log style manifolds all with or without external gates, all either made of mild steel of Stainless, of course price will vary depending on materials... (we will also be looking into intake manifolds, SR20/B16/3sGe etc etc, but more on that later - these guys do fabrication work for the oil and natural gas industry locally, servicing companies like BP Amoco, British Gas Slumberge etc, all the welders and fabricators are all certified professionals with atleast 10years+ experience)

i hope to have a definitive answer on price shortly, please email me if you need it urgently and wish to discuss....

anyway, thats all

Well I won't have money until after the 20th, but I'd be intrested in a bottom mount T25 w/o a wastegate. Keep us updated!!!

CA19DET: I must be blind or something cause you said to drop you an e-mail if it was urgent but i didn't see an e-mail address anywhere. Anyway, i want a top mount from stainless to fit my t3/t4 on it. Quote me a price? Oh, and can you have 'em ceramic coated? if you can i'd like a price quote for one like that as well. Thanks!:rockon
