I did a TractionOptional event years back, sharing an s13 with my old roomate. We used the headlights as a reference for pictures/videos from the event. Headlights on would mean it was me driving, headlights off meaning it was him.
I've always felt like having the headlights up sorta gave me "sights" to "aim" with.

Went home for the weekend and got a little street session in. This is the first video since I got my CXracing tubular manifold and custom catback. I got the high-pitch sound that I wanted!
