So I entered a local drift event on Saturday. My CA couldn't have served me any better. Started right up every time, had "SR-like" power, and didn't overheat or cause any problems, even with the hot Alabama summer environment. The only time I had to pop the hood was to top off my power steering fluid, which leaks from a stainless steel braided line I had made to replace the pressure hose (probably gonna get a new rubber hose since the stainless line leaks no matter how tight you get the fittings). Also, my vacuum line for my BOV slipped off, hence why you can't hear it in the videos.

With as much hell as this engine has given me since I embarked on this project, it was extremely gratifying to have a fun day like this.

Around ~13 psi, using a Hallman manual boost controller. The car was running 110 octane leaded race gas for the event.

Yeah i know, but it's a brand new Bosch sensor. Hell, Tucker and Studders run leaded race gas in their SR's every saturday night when we go drifting. I just didnt want to risk detonating since I just turned the boost up the night before. It felt so good though!

I've got a lot of videos of me drifting the CA over the past couple of months that I forgot to update this thread with. Enjoy!

do it! there's a shortage of drift people here in the ca18 section, so get out there and get to sliding ASAP.

and get pics/vids when you do! :)

Are there any functional AWD NX's in the US? It HAS to be a difficult conversion.

Idk about an AWD CA Pulsar, but there was a guy in Kentucky who had an AWD SR Pulsar. I can't remember too many details, but as memory serves someone else did the conversion using a GTi-R powertrain and a B12 AWD rear subframe and drivetrain, he bought the car and started a huge project turning it into an SR23DET monster. He got too many projects going and had to scrap the project. It was a sad, sad day on nissanexa.com.

I dunno what one your talking about, but fatmanracing built that sort of a setup and it ran around fine. He was hitting 13's before the awd, haha. He sold the car to someone on the sr-sentra forums, as far as i know it got beat to hell and popped the motor a few years later. I was chitchattin on da phone recently about this car actually..haha.
If i had the budget I would already have it done!! B12 4wd wagons aren't THAT rare...

I was talking about Don Kinney's car. He's Tooqikk on the EXA forum. I actually bought an E16 Pacesetter header and an E16 Isky reground cam from him a couple years ago. Here's his thread: http://www.nissanexa.com/showthread.php ... bcdb45e360

After looking at the first page it turns out he's the one who bought fatmanracing's old car, lol.

Idk, I think zero-countersteer drifting is pretty ballin'. I can't wait until I'm good enough to do it in a RWD

If you want some serious angle, though, you should go FWD. If you kick it out too far just slam on the gas and let the front wheels pull the car back around. Man, if my gold Pulsar had the CA in it I'd post my hektik skids, but it had the wrong motor so I guess it wouldn't fit in this thread, lol

Meh, if the OP is fine with it, I'm fine with it. It's somewhat on topic, and if I'm OK with it, then what does it matter? LOL

OP. permission to display the Huntsville famed FWD drift sensation?... Ah what the hell, I'm sure you won't mind.

Lol that s*** was so funny. wish I would've been standing at a better angle in the video where I was recording so I could've really captured how you scrubbed the outside curb.

Yeah, it seemed like any time someone other than me touched my phone the camera wouldn't save anything. That was total crap. If only I had a Go Pro.

so I learned from watching these vids that Alabamans like to drive their 240s with their headlights on.. it lets them get extra styling points drifting...
