I have a 3.5 and yes the swap is in the 3.5k but like I said I'm spending alot more than 3.5 on my car, as far as boost goes that's up to the shop, we're going for max performance that the transmission can take. The scariest thing about this obese HP is the transmission, what it can take/can't. So once it's done I'll let you know the boost lvls, also when yours get's done I'll be looking forward to what all you have done. Who know's our shops may finish at the same time so we can both hold the title of first transmission swap lol.

DAMN that is a great price you got for the whole swap. I know I spent way more than that on the parts needed. Remind your shop not to max out the boost to what the transmission can handle, but what the engine can handle. A VQ engine with stock internals and what not can handle around 400HP safely if I remember correctly from a thread that was up a while ago. That's why I will be taking my car back to SFR to have the whole engine built so I can raise the boost and get from what I was told by Tim 600HP and more. Main thing to remind your shop like I said is to boost to what the engine can handle because the transmission will handle more than the engine.

Yeah the swap was fast, but the difference was that his shop had a donor car next to his car to swap the parts from car to the other. Tim and the guys at SFR had to order each part individually and do the research of what parts were needed to do the swap on my car.

Is this a 3.5 (sorry i havent been paying attention) and Is there any advantages of having a transmission swap to just getting a manual from the factory? o.o that shiftstick is the same size right.... and reverse lockout...right...

it's a 3.5 dude, and yes considering the shifter was ripped out of another 3.5 A/C it is the same =D. outside of that, for normal day drivers, there is no advantage, if your doing a turbo kit like me, then the answer would be yes. A CVT can't take the horses that I am running threw my car and will blow up =D.
