Here it is, the $850 dollar perfectly running manual hatchback. It has 120k on the clock and it is in overall excellent condition, only a few problems. Theres a bit of rust, the right rear corner needs paint and the trunk lock doesn't work, but the hatch still opens. : ) All in all I think I got a damn good deal because the rust and such will be easy to repair. Its also a great daily driver till it becomes a donor body and we put in a new heart. : ) I didn't get home till 3:30 in the AM and my buddy ChickenBoo deserves true friend status since he drove me to Green Bay, WI.

So without further banter, here it is. : )

I wanted to provide pictures of its unadulterated form. : ) Soon the pinstripes and electrical tape will be gone, I'll cut out and reweld the rust sections, get it a bit of a touch up for now until it gets its real paintjob for the swap time. : ) It didn't come with a factory spoiler so I don't have to worry about rust on the hatch ( yay ) and the only rust there is now is gonna get cut out, sealed, welded, and then sealed in fiberglass sideskirts. : ) Let me know what you think.

Did I get a good deal? : )

Hell yeah that's a great deal. Other than the rust spots it look like new. Congrats now lets see how you gonna cram that beast of a motor in there.

Dude, you know you got a good deal, and I'd say it looked nice if I hadn't had to look at it for over 5 hours in the rearview mirror on the way back from Green Bay.

well this is my first time on this site. i just got my 1990 240 and was just lookin around and i saw this site. i read this post and thought it was kinda funny cause i just bought my 240 for $800. doesnt sound like its as good as the 850 one, but its in still overall real good shape. its black and the body is near perfect. it has 2 spots of rust under spoiler and one little surface rust spot behind rear tire. this is nothin compared to my 88 prelude i got which is rustin to peices. the engine had a couple things wrong with it so we decided to rebuild it, but nothin major. pistons, camshaft, vavles, crank and all those important parts are still in amazing shape for having 148,ooo miles on it. the only problems with it are that a timing belt tensioner (sp?) broke, 4 of the 8 bolts missin off exhaust manifold, and oil rings just froze up. that is alot for the everyday person but when u r rebuilding the engine, thats really nothing. im puttin about $800 into the rebuild, so i will have a $1600 car in really good shape. a few of my friends want me to sell it to them but im gonna keep it and sell the lude. i dont got any pictures yet but will have some after rebuild. what u guys think of my buy?

dude that rust is real nasty. i wouldnt doubt if you had more rust then you thought.and even though it might appear (to the untrained eye) to be an easy fix that could run ya a couple k.

You guys are heartless, relentless bastids. Keep it up........I am also in the process of buying a 96' 240sx. I just have one little bitty problem, I have to sell my 96 civic first So I can get it out of Freak's grill.

Patience is a virtue and all I can say is that I wished I had waited a few months b4 buying the car cockroach.

note to the stupid, ALWAYS stick to what you beleive and don't listen to your probe driving friends...............................
