Man, that is looking real good. Congratulations on your swap thus far.

And to all of those haters out there, the 2JZ is a superior motor hands down. I drive an RB26 240sx, and if I could do it again, I would drop in a 2JZ based on price, ease of power increase, price, ease of install for downpipe, price, ease of available parts, and price......But I still love my RB26, and that is why I have started my build project on it.......

i don't think anyone is hating, bro its just that its becoming common, all swaps are... its alot of cool points beyond power. me personally i don't need it for what i do.

but to sit here and compare motors is crazy. every motor ever created by man has some kinda flaw.but let it be known, both motors RUN/ran JGTC so that should make everyone happy.

about the vg its been done alot. for the most part biggest issue is the brake master cly. some have relocated it others have just shoe horned the motor in. its can be done. lots of pictures on here if you search and other forums.

sorry, not that i dont like the 2jz or toyotas in general its just that i like to keep my stuff brand related. IDK why. At least its not an LS1 cause that ****s a joke.

I totally want to get a cressida and do a 2jz or even just a 7mgte. That would be cool.

If its toyota i keep it toyota, if its nissan, i keep it nissan. Thats just how i roll

Looks sick bro...keep up the good work.

I always wanted to put a 2jz into a Cressida or an SC...unfortunately that might never happen.

Well I got the hoses ran for the radiator. Had to cut the upper hard pipe on the 2jz to direct the hose to the top radiator inlet. Power steering is hooked up. Didn't have to mod anything. I just used the custom line I had madeup for the RB25. Shifter is in the car but is under the radio. I am going to have to have that moded to come up in the right location. transmission mount is done. Turbo came in. It's a T4/67. I am still waiting on a manifold, injector clips (for stock supra) and piping for the intercooler and down pipe.

Props on doing the swap yourself. I am a Nissan freak in all aspects, and LOOOVVVEEE the RB26. But has anyone seen Smokey Nagata's MkIV Supra with an RB26 in it? So it's more preference than anything, and if you prefer the 2JZ, slap that **** in there. It's a nasty engine, and a much lighter car than the Supra. All this makes is a rocket! Keep doing what you like, and if they hate smoke there ***!!!

Hmmmm..... Sounds like someone hasnt done there homework. For your info the 2jz is a V6 which is one big factor that happens to make it a better motor than the Rb25 and Rb26.

UUUMMMM Please don't tell me you actually typed that.

1jz/2jz Toyota motors are inline 6 cylinders. NOT V6. If you're not familiar with the engines or the difference between a "V" 6 and inline 6, then please do not post. You are spreading incorrect information.

Also, in case you have any doubts, please refer to the pic on the 1st page of this thread and look at the engine. Inline 6 FTW!

Nice swap.

RB25 fails to the 2JZ, so does RB26.

- Oylm, my friend has a 2JZ SC300.

Oh man, that tickles my funny bone. I really hope that this is sarcasm. Even if you did not know that it was an I6 before coming into this thread, the picture on the first page completely shows that it is definately not a V6. I give your homework assignment a big F

I'm sure that inline 6 motor will outperform your old RB25. Mad props to you for this sweet hybrid swap.

you know youre a ****in dumbass how is a ls1 VETT engine a joke they put them in rx7s and 240s all the time and they are also smog legal. they are light, easy to work on and you can put some serious power down to the wheels with that engine. so why dont you tell me why its **** then

The JZ's are awesome motors, period...

On another forum I saw a S14 with a 1JZ... Guy said it was fast, Vette still walked him before tuning. But he said he had alot of fun with people that thought he only had a KA24DE...

This should be pretty insane when you finish up with it, awesome swap!! Can't wait to see it completed!!
