We got ours from japan and were not 170. but good try though, they do look pretty close but I can see one major difference in them.

The car is an auto as I stated before, the owners wife drives the car and she can't drive a stick So in the future, if she gets another car this will go back to being a 6spd getrag.

We will post up some vids of it shortly!

Keep the comments coming!

WOWThat owner better man the fu*k up and retrive what ever testosterone he has left and tell his wife to GTFO of his 2JZ'd Z33 ASAP!

WTF, that car is WAY to sick looking to have his wife drive it!I would NEVER let my wife drive a 50k+ modified car as her DD. Buy her a used Toyota Camry and call it a day

I have been maintaining the thread (Sean @ tech2 -aka- 2jzswapper) No the owner of this car, the original poster's wife drives the car, as it was her's originally.

I wish this car was mine but I got the joy of building it.

I drive a 1JZ Supra as my DD.

You can facepalm all you want...

Why would you let your wife DD a car like like that.A $50K car fineA modified car like this Z is sick!

If you can drop $$$ like that on a car, you can afford another one.Put the Z33 in a garage and DD somthing else. If you cant understand my logic you need to have your head checked

agreed. I think the best sporty "wifey" car would have to be between an is250,mazdaspeed3 and a rx8.

????Why wouldn't you let your wife have a 2JZ powered Z33??? Mine gets to drive my 1JZ Supra when ever she wants, or she can drive the Corvette or SS Camaro. Just because she's a woman doesn't mean she can't drive a car.... especially because she can't drive a stick.

Seriously guys are we living back in the 50's? They have the money she can drive the car, hell I have driven the car and its very easy to handle! 295s in the rear and you don't get slippage. I guess I'm just used to seeing very expensive cars being driven by women.

Now can we get the topic back onto the car??? Please!

Thats a great rebuddle but these are both stock cars or atleast their engines. You can buy your wife a $50k+ car, but my point is that it isnt the price that bothers me, it is the work and the fact that it is custom and the fact that she is DDing it!WTF sure spend a weekend and let my wife spin some tires, but dont pick up the kids and grocerys and doctors appoinments in it.

That car was in SEMA for christ's sake!

I have a 240 with brakes, suspention and differential and I garage keep her and only weekend drive it because bad weather brings out the worlds worst drivers. I love my car would hate to see anything happen to her

And then I stummble on this! OMG its crazy to me!But I am sure Jeff Gordon's wife drives the kids around the #24 Dupont car

Its still just a car... if the car got wrecked its not like we wouldn't just through everything into another Z33. Besides the cars are cheap now.

We just got our new project car for 09 SEMA, but can't tell ya what it is....yet

Merry Christmas guys

Very nice setup. I think everyone here knew before opening this topic there wasn't a real gain swapping to the 2JZ. I love it because it's so different and the 2JZ engine bays are some of the sickest out there. Some don't mind hiding their twin setup on the VQ but it's nice to see where that money went too.

ok first of all, autotragic=FTL!

second, his WIFE drives the car? wtf is wrong with people?

third, tail lights=fail, huge rice wing=fail, paintjob=fail, rims=fail. all this car needs now is a huge fart can exhaust and some neon lights underneath the car.

now, i am NOT saying that this car wasn't built well. mechanically, amazing and constructed very well. cool concept, however trading a 2jz for a vq35de just doesnt make a whole ton of sense to me.

imho, i would reather have a completely stock z with a s/c or a tt kit. if it were me and i had that kind of money to blow on a swap, id for sure go with an ls1, and if i had THIS kind of money, id get it blown.

^hahabmdub sounds like a my350z member. We all know that the car has an engine from a different manufacturer, can't you just appreciate the the work and imagination that was put in this car? They built the car for SEMA for god's sakes...

I like the car. I don't say that alot. Keep up the cool work.

If a person's wife is capable of driving a fast car then more power to her. I let some women drive my G when I'm too trashed to drive my self. But that can help me in other ways. LOL.

bmdub415, I like your style, "fart can exaust", classic, love it! I hate wings myself, useless and ricey. they did build a unique car though, but I agree I would have kept nissan a nissan.
