Hey guys im 17 and have owned my 1991 240sx Hatch since early October, I picked it up for $1100 cash, I know a little to much but it only had 137,*** miles on it, and blue book value was $1075 so i don't think i did to bad. She needed some TLC on the body like paint and it has a huge dent in the rear drivers side qp. I drove it home from Washington Dc Its about a 45 min drive with pretty good traffic. I was so excited lol my first car and its a 240 . The next day i told all my friends i had bought a 240 they all laughed but i didn't care. So any way i got home from school and started taking pics, and cleaning her, Here are some from the day after i brought her home because it was dark when i got her to my house. ( Still had the guys tags on it lol, i took em off and sent them back to him the next day ) [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] I drove it around my house and a road behind my housefor a week or two because we were to busy to go get tags..[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG] During these few days that seemed like forever i cleaned it like no other lol moved my license plate bracket to the side cause i think it looks better, here's a pic of that. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] I finally got tags on her, drove her around for about two weeks then realized on a rainy day that the dent was getting annoying so i backed the rear into my garage...[IMG][img][IMG][/IMG]

Now here are some pics of the ugly dent [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

Well i didn't have like any tools so i used a scissor jack..it worked pretty well, [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

So now i am just waiting until i get on Christmas break from school so that i can grind it down and apply some bondo to make it less visible/fix it. Here are some pics as of tonight( there is some ice on my car from the snow yesterday )

[IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] Well other than the qp above ill be fixing some dings, a crack on the hatch, and a front left fender extender... [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] closer pics of the above pic [IMG][/IMG] The Crack on the hatch..Kinda hard to see. [IMG][/IMG] And finally the fender extender [IMG][/IMG] I will be working all of my Christmas break to do the bodywork on my240, oh yea and one more thing, since i have to work in my garage i have to clean it tomorrow which sucks here's a pic of it lol so many bins [IMG][/IMG]Thanks for looking at my thread updates will be as soon as i clean the garage lol...

Don't give a ride to the friends that laughed at you, than laugh at them from inside your car.

that for 1100?!?!? thats a b****ing deal.

stupid California that would go for 2k up here

otherwise thats a great find and buy. also Ka24de ftw!

the QP you might want to replace, and the other small dents you can try blow dryer and keyboard spray method.

You should save your money and buy a vh45 to shove in there and turbo it. Then you can smoke whatever car your friends have.

You could also get some nice over-fenders to cover up that dent and +1 your jdmness.

eh its just cosmetic so thats not a bad pickup

id check to see if the subframe is true; if it has that big of a dent it prob got hit HARD

and i wouldnt bother with bondo, its going to just cause it to crack/ trap moisture since you need a TON to hide that

just massage it out as best you can; rock it till you can get a nice drop and wheels and then some overfenders

I am not trying to rain on you parady op but I got my 240 with no body damage a clean interior with 134,xxx on the drivetrain, and it the SE same as yours for $650 in Califonia. so yes you did get a good deal I just hope you dont have rust ir not than sweet cause you paint is a bit better than mine and you have a wingless hatch mine has the wing hatch with no wing lol any way nice car and before you bondo that body do some hammering on it first get the body with in like 1/8th of an inch for best bondo results because down the road you dont want the dreaded bondo cracks in your nice paint job. good luck with the car.

Nice. surprised at how well a jack worked. I would have tried inflating different size footballs and basketballs.

Sounds like all the f**kin a**holes around here. "V8's have alot of horsepower from the factory," and I'm like, "Yea? Can you put alot of performance parts on that 'V8' and still get around 28+ MPG? No? Then STFU and get out of my face.'' F**kin redneck hill billys, and inbred bastards.

One of these day's I'll have a place where the garage is not a storage shed for crap. But I guess I need a place w/ a garage first lol.

Is there a way to subscribe to a thread? With me being a year younger than you (16) I want to see a build thread from the start from someone my age too. This thread has potential because all the pics so keep it that way haha.
