Hello, I'm Jim from the Portland Oregon ... You Guy's have a Great Z site here with an incredible amount of knowledge and information... And I would like to Tap into your knowledge if I could. I bought a 1993 300zx brand new from Carr Nissan in Portland 20 years ago and I've only put 30,000 miles on it and most of those miles came from the first 4 years of ownership. The Z is a T top coup, 5 speed and all orginal including the original Michelin Sport XGT Tires and has always been Garage kept and ran every month and oil changed several times a year with Red Line Syn. This Z is Beautiful But I'm starting to need the Garage space it's taking up, So I'm thinking of maybe selling it in the spring of 2013 But Edunds appraises it at $3,000... My question to you guy's is do you belive $3k is all this car would sell for in todays market ? Thank You - Jim

If it's clean it's worth more than 3k. Check out autotrader and see what comparable models are going for.

Hello Jim, my name is Mark, Welcome to NICO!

I'm assuming its naturally aspirated? If it is I think you could get atleast 5k to an individual don't take a dime less. It really depends on how big of a hurry you are in to sell it.

Post some pics.

Welcome. the 300ZX is destined to become a collectible, and the turbo version has already begun to appreciate. As far as bang for the buck, your car is probably toward the top of heap, which means the future is bright for them, but not quite yet. You're definitely not asking enough for it.
I think an original owner/ low mileage normally aspirated unmolested garage queen with maintenance history is probably worth closer to $6K, but the trick is finding a buyer that appreciates what they are. My recommendation would be to not sell it, but if you if you get offers over $5k, that would probably be fair.

Hello and Thank You for the Welcome ... Thanks for the replies and I'll see if I can answer some of your questions ...

Checking out the local Autotrader is a Great Idea ... Thank You WDRacing

Hello Mark (300ZXttZMAN) Since I've had the Z for so long and it's been sitting in my heated and Dry Garage for 20 years, I'm not in a hurry to sell it and I'm not really to excited to see it go either... And I'll post Pictures when I'm back in town .

Hello Bubba1... Thats interesting to think of this car as a Collectible ! It feels like I just bought it last year ... Damn I feel Old - Hahaha. It's Defiantly a Garage Queen  And I like your Recommendation !

Hello asoomal ... Yes my "Z" Has original Tires and probably original air inside them since they have never been off the car - LoL , It also has original Windsheild wiper blades and floor mats.... It's easier to tell you that the only thing not original is the oil and oil filter other then that it's the exact same as the day I bought it 20 years ago ....

Thank You Guy's, I really appreciate your quick responses and opinions, It really has me thinking that maybe this "Z" is worth more to me than to the buying market ....

HEy JK, if you have the means and the slightest desire, keep it, its a rare example of a perfect low mileage truly all original Z and in 10 years time (unless the economy completely tanks) should be worth double what it is now (to the right buyer ofcourse)
