well a buddy of mine just put a bigger maf on his gt and the one off his car is bigger than mine on my sr and looks almost like a z32?? has the same bolt pattern and everything...can u use this and get any more power or would it be a waste of time??? thanks!

You will need an ECU retune, piggyback AFC, or a standalone ECU, to run any MAFs other than the factory unit. I know JWT uses Mustang Cobra MAFs with some of their retunes, I am not sure if the GT and cobra MAFs are the same. As for making more power, the only gain you will see is from the increased airflow allowed by the larger housing, the MAFs does not give more power, it just measures air flow, thus allowing the ECU to calculate a stoich AFR. People commonly upgrade MAFs because they have reached the maximum amount of airflow that can be accurately measured by the stock unit.

yeah thats what i thought...im not sure if im gonna do it then b/c im just running 10psi and a safc...so dont think ill need it just yet...
